Note (2/VI/15): We are splitting them up, today. This is for the "regular" version, that also states blond. If he sold you the "ipa" version, that’s without the word blond on the label, please enter your rating under the other version.

"In fermento veritas." Bière aux 10 épices (10 spices) BeerMania is not a brewery, the "Mea Culpa" (or Mea Maxima Culpa, the same in 75cl bottle - there is even Ultima Culpa, but that’s an incredibly large artsy glass) is brewed upon Nassers’ own recipe at a Belgian brewery. He declines so far to tell which, until he has all contracts signed and papers worked out...

Went for the more bitter one (or so the nice lady said), -030 bar code. Light semi-opaque gold, strong white head. Slight spicy aroma with some maltiness. Sweet with a definite bitter spine. Finishes bitter with slight wateriness. Okay.

Got two bottles with different barcodes: 5425020560016 and 5425020560030. The first one - amber (dark yellow) cloudy with medioum off-white head, bit creamy and fastly dissapearing. Mention "Blond" on the label. Sweet fruity aroma (yeast+hops). Taste honey sweet at the beginning with certain sourness, followed by herbal bitterness. Herbal bitterness aftertaste with honey flowerly sweetness touch. The seocnd bottle - much lighter (despite this one isn’t "blond") yellow clear with rich stable creamy head. Bit less strong aroma, taste mostly herbal bitterness with some sourness and touch of sweet, but the same herbal aftertaste, however without any sweetness. Both beers - 6,5% of alcohol. Rating contains best values of both (for instance: aroma for the first one, appearence - for the second).

BeerMania’s ’housebeer’ to a recipe from the owner, with an exuberant, very expensive glass accompanying it. Thick, rocky, creamy, snow white head, deep ’old gold’ colour with lively sparkling. Strong sweet aroma of exotic fruits and spices (apparently 10 different spices are used here), impressions of mandarin, peach, honey, vanilla, cider, banana liqueur, floral hops, aniseed, ginger, cloves. Fruity taste with citrussy freshness, pretty strong carbo, smooth, apple, honey, aromatic dried spices, soft finish with sourish accent, sweetish but not cloying, mild flowery hops, no real bitterness. Weird but enjoyable spice beer - if Van Steenberge is indeed capable of this, then why don’t their own regular beers show more ambition?

330ml bottle. Clear golden color. Medium size, bubbly white head, stays. Yeasty, fruity, sweetish notes in aroma. Herbal, spruce?, yeast, straw in taste. High carbonation. Medium spicy bitterness. Typical Belgian.

UPDATED: JUL 14, 2014 Bottle. Hazy orange, medium white head. Aroma tutti fruti, taste likewise, mostly sweet, not much on the palate. Mediocre belgian ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Ingen hit.

Bottle, courtesy of worldbeertaste. Pours a clear golden beer with a thick white head on top. Aroma is yeasty, bready with some slight unripe fruits in there. Flavor is rather boring, typical Belgian ale. Slight sour, yeasty notes on top of high carbonation levels. Not so impressive.
