"In fermento veritas." Bire aux 10 pices (10 spices) BeerMania is not a brewery, the "Mea Culpa" (or Mea Maxima Culpa, the same in 75cl bottle - there is even Ultima Culpa, but thats an incredibly large artsy glass) is brewed upon Nassers own recipe at a Belgian brewery. He declines so far to tell which, until he has all contracts signed and papers worked out...

Bottle. Clear golden with a big rocky head. Herbal and spicy aroma, hints of yeast and sweet vegetables. Spicy rye bread flavours together with fruit and yeast. A bit too sweet, but good complexity.

enjoyed in the maxima form. light and bubbly it is quiet and a little boring. it brings fruity and spicy flavors maybe starfuit or other light fruit and a less traditional spice.

Bottle provided by Eugene. Very spicy aroma, cumin, yeast, black pepper. Assertive and very Belgian in flavor, with a full, strong yeasty body. Well defined. Maybe this just tastes better because it came after so much crap, though.

Thanks to my wife from bringing this back from Belgium! Pours a hazy yellow color with a large white rocky head. Turns into a nice coating with good lacing. Nose is apples, pear, cinnamon, and some funkyness, but its well balanced. Flavor is apple and pear along with sweet grains and some vanilla. Creamy and flavorful mouthfeel. Very nice beer.

Bottle: Pours a hazy light golden with a creamy white head. Pear skin aroma with some apple sauce and very mild cinnamon. Fluffy feel with a fruity flavor of fruit skins (pears and apples) with a subtle white pepper touch. Simple but solid and easy going.
