3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
For a wheat, this had a lot of flavor and kick. Upfront it was bitter with some hay, yeast and grapefruit flavors. It mellows out to a pretty quick finish that is crisp and dry. Poured a light hazy yellow color with a minimal white head. Well done overall.
12 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 7/27/2017. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts the whole glass. Great thick foamy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/pine hops, fruity yeast, and moderate bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, citurs rind, pepper, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops, fruity yeast, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, bready/grainy/sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 7%. Overall this is a delicious American pale wheat/IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops, fruity yeast, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Nicely vibrant and dank on hops. Tastes like a classic C hopped IPA with balanced pale/wheat malts, and American wheat yeast for added fruity character. A very enjoyable, and pretty unique offering. Where Purchased: 355ml can from the brewery
Consumed: from a pilsner glass
Aroma: Smells hoppy and citrusy. Not much else there.
Appearance : pale medium gold with lots of head that disappears fairly quick. Excellent lacing but doesn’t last.
Taste: a little bitter for my liking. Not much malt or sweet flavour. I’m sure it is quite sweet but the hops are just a little too much.
Palate : light body. Bitter aftertaste. Great carbonation.
Overall: It was laking flavour. Too bland, other then hops. Kind of what I expected, but I thought the hops would compliment the sweetness of the wheat. Instead it overpowered. I was glad to try but will not buy again. MB. The Beer "Bear"on.

Aroma is wheat, caramel and a hint of sweetness. The flavor is wheat, caramel, mild hops/citrus and a slightly spicy/sweetish finish. ARH (1165) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 8, 2016
On tap, poured into a snifter. The aroma is moderately intense, and straightforward with notes of juicy citrus and grains. It pours slightly hazy with an orange hue and a light effervescence. This is topped by a soft, well retained, fluffy cream head that leaves a good amount of lace. The taste is a citrusy medium sweet and complimentary, medium light bitter. The light bodied beer is slick with creamy carbonation. The flavor profile is citrus juice and peaches with a mild herb or grain quality that finishes zesty with bitter citrus. An astringent character lingers with a mild bread crust flavor late. sawbuck (762) - Round Lake, Illinois, USA - FEB 10, 2016
Nice aroma of slight banana, some gum, some spices, and bread. Orange color with a white head. Rich sweetness up front. Spicy sweet. NIce mix of banana, peppery spice, cinnamon, and some bitter earthy hops. Bitterness intensifies on the finish and is a long linger afterward. A bit too much. Slightly watery mouth feel. Starts off nice....but bitterness is too much on the end.

Poured from the bottle of a six pack, cloudy orange with the dark tornado. This beer is dry, gritty, and drinkable, and higher alcohol than most wheat beers. dukeandduke (272) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 2, 2016

On tap at the brewery. Pours an almost clear orange amber with a thin white head. Soft floral notes with citrus and honeyed malt on the nose, cool and catty. Medium bodied, tropical fruit, papaya, mango, soft malt and citrus. Slow spicy finish with a lot of earthy hops and a hint of resinous hop juice. hayduke (5672) - Eureka, California, USA - OCT 1, 2015
