This does not stand out above the rest. It really doesn't even blend in... A little hop aroma but doesn't go anywhere...kind of reminds me of spitfuls instigator ipa... Both these new Chicago breweries have oobs of potential but need to put out more thoughtful products and lower there price point as they can not at this time compete with what many others are doing..got to give me something with this ipa.... Just eeeh.... I can't wait til they improve and I bet they will... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz. bottle, consumed on 10-16-16. Pours a mostly clear, deep bronze with a moderate amount of beige head. Nice, substantial-looking color. Berry and peach scents. Smells like a peach-infused white grape juice. I really have no use for such aromatics in an IPA or any other beer. Malty flavor: Caramel, toffee, biscuit. Tastes more like an amber ale, and not a particularly hoppy one, even verging on a brown ale, than an IPA. Red grape and brown sugar flavors. One of the least hoppy IPAs Ive encountered, at least in terms of bittering hops in the taste (as opposed to aromatic hops in the smell). Hop belongs nowhere near the name of this beer. Actually doesnt taste half-bad. Frothy in the palate. Light to medium body. Insubstantial palate effects but not in a problematic way. Not well made and not even close to my kind of IPA. Im shocked to see this beer getting good reviews. I thought there would be a near consensus that this is a subpar American craft beer.

Bright, sweet, tropical and stone fruit aromas shine through with peaches, nectarine, grapefruit, and pineapple. It pours a hazy, orange amber with frothy white head. The taste is highhly sweet with a medium light bitter. The palate is fruity with citrus, nectarine, and a touch a a bitter clove spice, with a smooth, syrupy finish and a bread crust aftertaste

Tropical fruits, mango, passion fruit, light pine. Slightly hazy gold, small, creamy, white head. Medium bitter. Bitter citrus and tropical fruits, unripe passion fruit, bitter orange, soft carbonation, intense bitterness in the dry finish. Very solid IPA, quite bitter in the palate. Keg at Sugar Maple, Milwaukee.

Clear golden pour with a single finger head. Lots of lace. Aroma is fairly light, having trouble picking up on much. A little citrus and orange pith. Medium bodied. Slightly astringent. Lots of hops in this one. Lemon comes to mind. A bit of grain in the taste with a lingering bitterness.

Poured from the bottle of a six pack, dark amber orange with lacing. Taste is sweet malt, pine, a nice gritty creamy combo, dry at the end, and good alcohol content. This is the second six I have bought of this beer and I really like it.

Ever so slightly murky dark golden color with almost no head. Aroma is citrus hops and some earthiness. Taste is sweet, bready malt at first, then mild citrus rind hops with some pine, pineapple, and then it turns grassy. Some peppery spice as well. Palate is heavier than most IPAs, almost to DIPA territory. Very drinkable and fairly unique.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear orange hued amber with a thin white head. Bold hops on the nose, citrus and malt. Medium bodied, big and malty, citrus and earthy resinous hops. Big and hoppy, long malt and a bit of citrus into the finish. Soft warming alcohol on the finish, spicy hops.

Poured from a 22oz bottle from Kaser dated 02/25/15 - thanks again! Batch 91 Aroma - Some faint aroma...almost like red licorice. Appearance - hazy orange in color. Small 1/2 finger of head that disappears quickly. Taste - Very smooth...nice malt backbone...missing some hoppiness for an IPA. Overall - Glad I had it fresh, I think it wouldnt taste the same if it were old.
