Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours black with 3 fingers of dark tan head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate and a hint of caramel. Taste is light bitter and light sweet, follows aroma. Full bodied with a thick, creamy texture. Lively carbonation and a long, bitter coffee finish. Pretty darn good. jstraw (1967) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 17, 2013
Tasted at restaurant, so this first tasting not as thorough as could be - black with fair, creamy, tan head / Dry, mild nose of toasted grain, roast coffee, cocoa / Medium body, dry, somewhat chewy, fine balance and bitter finish / Dry, smooth flavors of roast barley, dark roast coffee, caramel, and grass / Another fine, nicely balanced dry(er) stout from Begyle. novels (424) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 8, 2013
Man, this one was really satisfying. Dark chocolate notes, roasted malt and a slightly sweet finish. Like drinking a campfire. allesmetkaas (170) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 1, 2013

Draught @ Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Pours a black colour with a white head. Aroma is rather strong with notes of roasted malts, tar, leather and dark chocolate. Flavour of roasted malts, dark chocolate, biscuit, tar and licorice. Full bodied, thick mouthfeel and a dry, roasty, lingering bitter finish. Great stuff.

Dark brown pour, kahki head. Dry, roasty, peaty, slight sweetness. Huge dry roast flavor, sweet for the style but a very rich stout despite its gravity. nsquishee (641) - Richfield, Minnesota, USA - SEP 2, 2013
Pours dark, cloudy, and brown with a bubbly, tan head. Lightly roasty and semi-sweet aroma. Roasty, chocolate malt, biscuit, and light hop flavors. Nice stout, could also we considered a porter. Comparable to Founders Porter. BBB63 (6557) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - FEB 16, 2014
Bottle and served in tulip: Pour deep brown near opaque with a mostly lasting frothy head and okay lace. This brew is rather straight forward (as are most dry stouts) but does offer a nice array of flavors with roast, nuts, coffee, and resiny hops. Mikey Likey and that is not easy when your a not hiding behind dark fruits notes and big alcohol. boozedude (2228) - Des Moines, Iowa, USA - APR 3, 2014

Aroma is dark malts, coffee, chocolate, fruit and a hint of citrus. The flavor is roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, toffee, light citrus/tea, a hint of tobacco and a mix of acidity and tartness in the finish. Citrus in a stout is a bit of a curve ball, but it was pretty good.
