Poured from the bomber, this beer made me wanna trim a fir tree, the high alcohol really lit my fire. So we all got loaded and listened to old Dead Milkmen songs, it’s about time someone paid homage to them. tmoreau (4808) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - MAR 1, 2016
On tap at Lunar Brewing Co., and snifter served showing a clear & very bright, medium golden color, with a finger’s width of persistent, silky, white head foam that left lacing as sheet-like spray on the glass. The nose was dank, ripe fruit notes, with tropical scent as mango & passionfruit, then pit fruit and grapefruit. Medium+ bodied, with okay carbonation, the taste combined an alcohol presence with the fore mentioned esters, notable earthy & rind-like bitterness, and a sweet malt background. The bitterness and sweetness lingered equally as the alcohol produced some warmth. A fairly tasty DIPA that wants to be a Barleywine. kaser (6469) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 13, 2016
Orange pour from draft at Begyle. Tons of citrus and tropical fruit on the nose. Big juicy grapefruit and hoppy guy. Super tasty j12601 (13472) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - NOV 27, 2015
On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear orange gold with a medium sized white head. Big citrus, spicy malt and a hint of a mineral quality. Medium bodied, sweet and full of dusty pineapple and tropical fruit, warming alcohol, big malt and warm citrus and grapefruit. Long grapefruit into the finish, lingering alcohol and tropical fruit. A touch big for a day full of drinking, but absolutely gorgeous by itself. jtclockwork (17769) - , New Jersey, USA - MAR 13, 2015

22 oz bottle from the brewery. Not tremendously carbonated and little, thin head. Orange/gold visually. Pine and resin nose with pineapple hints. This is very clean and smooth for almost 10% abv. It reminds me of Hopslam, but with perhaps a bit more of a pronounced aftertaste (including alcohol flavor unfortunately) and not quite as much hop on the front. I guess you could say that all makes it well balanced! dukeandduke (313) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 15, 2015
2/9 - Monk’s Pub (Chicago) Draft - Nice strong IPA, loved the fruity smell contrasting with a nice bitter taste. This was my first Begyle offering, and I hope to try their other offerings down the road. Will definately snag this beer when offered. A: Copper, Orange. Hazy with some lingering head.
S: Amazing: Grapefruit, Mango, Citrus and Tropical. Some booze as well.
T: Harsh bitterness followed by sweetness and present alcohol. Tastes mostly tropical and almost a plastic like quality.
O: Loved the aroma but other than that I’m not sure I would buy this one again. HonkeyBra (4044) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - JAN 24, 2014
22 oz. bottle. Pours an amber-orange pour with a small off white head. Aroma of hops, mild citrus, some booze. Touches of pine, and some melon. Flavor is boozy with some strong sweetness, medium hop bitterness notes. Very boozy and sweet. Full, syrupy body. This is kind of weird of weird. Finishes boozy with mild bitterness. Ultimately, disappointing.
