With a name like Belching Beaver Brewery, as a Canadian I had to order this when I saw it on Rakuten. Once I saw it was a Peanut Butter Milk Stout, it was a done deal! Bottle from Taniguchi. 5% Inky black with a tan head makes for a classic looking stout but the aroma is full on peanut butter! Medium bodied, the taste is a bit metallic, chocolate and peanut butter with a medicinal edge... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber from Holiday Wine Cellar. Aroma is strong in peanut butter, nuts in general, chocolate milk. Pours black with a one finger beige head with great retention; leaves some lace. Taste has just the right amount of sweetness, finishes quite bitter; flavors of peanut butter, chocolate, licorice. Good stuff.

Can at home. Reddish black in colour. Roasted flavours. Nutty notes then chocolate, coffee, brown sugar and caramel with a medium body.

This is a very confusing beer for me. The ratings suggested it would be great but it was no-where near that. Aroma is a very artificial sickly peanut. Flavour is similar with a chemical and plastic taste.

Can from Bishops Cave. Aroma is little sweet, peanuts, bit of choc. Taste is similar, bit of cardboard, feels dusty, cola. Not sure.

355ml Can - Black in colour. Peanuts, biscuit mix and cocoa in the aroma. Peanut butter, chocolate, vanilla and some slightly earthy notes in the taste. Like liquified Snickers and not as sickly as some other beers of this type.

5.3%ABV. Stout. Tapped out dark brown. 40SRM. Nose has some buttery richness to it. Caramel and sweet nuts aroma. Wheat and bran in the nose. Mouthfeel is full bodied and watered syrup or honey. Palate is sweet, light in body and smoke, with flavors of burnt wood, charred hay, sarsaparilla with a light smoke finish. Not much in the way of peanut butter as least not in the way of Mother Earth Sin Tax, which I preferred and still use as yardstick for peanut butter stouts.

pours into a deep dark brown body with a disappearing caramel head. aroma is amazingly strong, like breaking open the wrapper to any of the reeces sweets. the flavour is great as well it is slightly let down by the fact it was not as sweet as id like. all i can think about is the recces chocolate and peanutbutter cups. i really enjoyed this. actually, upon drinking this further the sweetness has really been brought out. superb.

Bomber - dark pour but not much head. A chocolate and peanut butter aroma. Slight peanut butter and lightly burnt popcorn taste. Thin body.

Canned from Trader Joes. Very deep prune in color. Roasty peanuty nose. Some chocolate and a sort of a chocolate cereal nose to it. Roasty up front with some chocolate and peanut butter. Reminds me more of weed than peanut butter though.
