The Belching Beaver milk stout has a fairly strong milk taste, but the palate leaves a bit to be desired. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Near black pour with thin cap. Not up to par with the awesome pb milk stout, but a solid if unspectacular rendition of the style. Smooth, lightly lactic and bittersweet. Simple and clean.

On tap at prefunk boise. Pours out black topped with a tan head. Nose is sweet chocolate some ash and a little nutty notes. Taste is more of the nice chocolate sweetness and a light ash.

On Tap at PreFunk, Boise Black with a very nice long lasting light tan head. LOts of sweet light roast aromas. A little coffee and some sweetness. Under bittered I think, yes, even for a milk/sweet stout. More sweet chocolate milk flavors. A dessert beer. Tasty.

If you’re in SD and you’ve got a sweet tooth, Belching Beaver seems like the best game in town for you. This milk stout pours opaque black with a pretty tan head. Flavor profile is simple: coffee and lots of cream. The feel is creamy, too. This is about as sweet as things can get before getting too intensely starchy. I don’t mean that as a bad thing. This is a glass of black, milky goodness.
