Aroma is sweetish and somewhat tart with oat, cocoa, coffee and hints of licorice. Flavour is somewhat tart with oat, chocolate, some cocoa, citrus and hints of orange. Nice, I like the roastiness and chocolate aromas here. The sour and/or tart notes are too strong though.

Pours like cola, head only lasts a matter of seconds. Rich sweet puddingy roast aroma - very nice hints of coffee and chocolate. A bit thin and dead in the mouth. None of the fullness I expect off an oatmeal stout. Not a bad taste, but doesn’t match the fun and fullness of the aroma. Decent roast, but a bit ashy, leading to some acidity. Leaves you with a burnt and noble hop tingle, but alas it’s a bit unsatisfying. Drink quickly, as it tastes worse and worse as it warms. I’m getting some metallic tastes now, and it’s quite dirty.
355 ml bottle (4,7 % ABV). Black, with a thin brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, with coffee and smoky notes. The flavour is dryish, roasted malty, with coffee, notes of berries, ash and smoke. Very tasty, although a bit watery on the palate - the higher ABV version might be better in this respect.
