Belhaven Black Scottish Stout really is something completely different. Bursting with roast coffee and chocolate flavours, this is a truly genuine and premium pint. Brewed using pure Scottish water and a unique blend of Scottish triple malts sourced from the finest locally grown barley.

Eructoblaster (4205) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 25, 2014
On tap at NDHQ Sgts/WOs Mess. Opaque black body with a lasting, thick, beige creamy head. Well balanced malty aroma with hoppy and some roasted cereals hints. Its decent malty/hoppy taste carries some woody and roasty notes. Ends with a good bitter/roasty finish. Decent Stout.

Puszka. Kolor: czarny z rubinowymi refleksami widocznymi pod światło. Piana: nienaganny wygląd stout’a w wysp brytyjskich; kremowa, brudno biała, niezbyt obfita paina, z fantastycznym lacingiem. Aromat: orzechy, chlebowo, słodowo, ciemne aromaty, stylowo.

Bottle at home. Pours black, not getting this, thin and lacking flavour - light toffee, chocolate.

Aroma: light toasted malts, intense caramel. Appearance: black, no head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: bitters intensify, roasted malts, soft carbonation. Overall: sub-average Stout, but nothing too special. Pint at the Mayflower, Rotherhithe.

Deu (948) - Nantes, FRANCE - SEP 29, 2014
On tap in Paris. Black color with a creamy and frothy tan head, good lasting and nice lacework. Aroma has notes of licorice, roasted malts and black chocolate. Flavor is mild bittery with roasted notes, some ashes, licorice and coffee beans. Light bittery final with a dry mouthfeel. Overall Ok

greenclansman (906) - Nicosia, CYPRUS - SEP 27, 2014
Pitch dark color, irish stout a-like. Smooth roasted aromas. Thin, watery, irish-stout taste with a sweet aftertaste. Not so full flavor as I wanted. Dry finish.

Can 0.5L. Black body with average, creamy, tan head, mostly lasting with some nice lacing. Moderate malty aroma (caramel, roasted, dark malts) with notes of coffee and chocolate, light licorice. Moderate sweet flavour with high-to-moderate bitterness which becomes more evident in the finish, together with some notes of licorice. Light-to-medium body with oily texture; soft carbonation.

agent_persik (742) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - SEP 13, 2014
Black color, big creamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Dry sweet taste has roasted malt, caramel, coffee. Medium body and soft carbonation. Smooth and quite drinkable.

BagerPL (125) - - SEP 13, 2014
Piwo nieco płaskie, wodniste i wytrawne, ale brak w nim szczególnych wad. Wyraźne nuty kawowe i nieco mniej czekoladowych.
