440mL nitro can, pours black with a large tan head. Aroma brings out notes of oats, toasted bread and dry bitter cocoa. Flavour brings out dry bitter cocoa, oats and toasted bread. Creamy palate, with a bitter astringency on the finish. Nothing special but its decent.

ClarkVV (6410) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 16, 2016
Draught at The Haven, 9/9/16.
Clear, dark mahogany with crimson/magenta highlights and a beige head atop, medium-sized and showing moderate retention.
Not a ton going on in the nose, though conversely, its not flawed either. Lightly lactic roast character mixes with mineral water, hints of vanilla and a gentle, fairly playful fruitiness (apples, strawberries, etc...). No alcohol noted.
Very easygoing, watery, dry stout with watery coffee notes, very light chocolate, mild fruitiness and hints of vanilla and straw. Clean and easy-drinking with a touch of acidity on the finish.

On tap at Harats, Zagreb. Very dark brown, pretty much black, off white nitro head. Malty aroma, raisins. Taste... Toasty, caramel malt, light metallic touch, raisin. OK, pretty much a standard stout, nothing great, nothing bad.

minutemat (5137) - Shrewsbury, Shropshire, ENGLAND - SEP 13, 2016
500ml bottle @ Loch Fyne, Shrewsbury. Pours black, very thin off-white head that dissipates to nothing. Aroma presents some cocoa, lightly sweet malts, treacle. Taste continues with a fairly light mouthfeel, light roast, pleasant sweetness, a little oily. Not bad, a good table stout.

First smell after popping the cap is roasted coffee but after pouring it into a glass that somewhat fades. The beer is very dark as expected and the foam is thick when pouring but fades away rather quickly. The taste is kinda smoky with hints of coffee and nuts. Its not bitter as i expected and leaves a pretty mellow aftertaste.

Pitch black colored, creamy beige-tan head, good lasting. Aroma is of chocolate, some roasted malt, coffee. Taste is light+ sweet malt, chocolate and coffee, some roasted malt, light+ bitterness, dry finish. Light+ bodied, soft carbonation, thinnish. Light and drinkable yet there is enough flavor for enjoyment. I can see myself quaffing a few of these. (can)

promontor (143) - HUNGARY - JUL 27, 2016
0.5l bottle from British Store. Black colour as you expect from a beer with such a name. Head is moderate, looks foamy, aroma is moderately roasted, taste is sweet-roasted. The beer itself is a light stout, palate is a bit too lively for me, but otherwise nice. A bit thin, though. Taste is moderately roasted, a bit on the sweet side. Some nice sourish character detectable in the end. Roasted-bitter aftertaste with a not very nice earthy character in the background. Has a somewhat coke-like taste and character which I usually do not like. Also, quite one-sided. A typical one-timer.

0.5 l can at Opatovina Beer Fest in Zagreb. Nicely poured, black with a firm off white head. Nuts, coffe and roasted malts in the aroma. Creamy texture, really smooth mouthfeel. Light to medium body. Sweet and roasty. Light roasty finish. Quite nice.
