16 oz can @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Aroma of roasted malt. Clear dark ruby black color, creamy smooth 2" beige head, curtain of lace. Taste is similar to Guinness - velvety smooth full-bodied malt that glides through a lightly carbonated swallow to mild hops at the end. Super smooth, really easy to drink, satisfying. Excellent light Stout.

This beer has a good appearance, but its flavour is weak. We expected a little more taste, and more persistance.

On tap. Looks great darj black with a finger of creme head. Fluffy silky body. Taste is odd. Slightly malty coffee bitterness but also tobbaco or unpleasant lacto. Maybe its just been in the keg too long. Not as good as Guinness.

From the bottle - Into a Belhaven pint. Ruby black and radiant with a towering plume of tannish foam. Head lasts the length and adds a needed creaminess to the palate. Weedy and grassy, seaweed, umami notes on the nose rounded off by ample lashings of Vegemite and Bovril. Powdery, chalky finish. Mild smoke and ash with a sweet, toffee malt front. A tad of milk chocolate adds just a little bit of character. Drinkable but sits heavy in the stomach
Can - Into a Belhaven pint. Brownish, ruby black with your typical nitro foam. Aroma is low but hints at ash, Vegemite and seaweed. Watery but smooth as expected. Sweet front, nutty with a hint of ash, butter and kelp. Long malty finish. Actually more sessionable than the bottled version but much thinner. Can. Dark pour with a slight reddish hue, thick creamy tan head, classic nitro pour. Aroma is slightly roasty, very mild with hints of chocolate, heavy cream and dark fruits. Taste is also a little roasty, some light chocolate and biscuit notes, hints of dark fruit. Thin and a little watery, not much carbonation.

Bottle. Clear pitch black color, small white head. Strong roast malt character, peated aroma. Dust dry taste, medium bitter, astringent, slightly acrid. More roasted malt in the aftertaste, light chocolate. Thin to medium texture, low carbonation.
