Nice stout, though it doesn’t outshine the belhavens’ oat stout. caramel, bread, coffee, toast, basement aromas black, clear, frothy, tan foam, medium sweetness, medium bitterness, medium sourness, full body, oily feel, abrupt finish, flat,

Kinda bitter. Deep chocolate, lots of tart coffee. Black dark mildly smoky flavor. Not bad.

Alebarasi (103) - Dobrova, SLOVENIA - OCT 1, 2016
Dense black color with 1 finger colored head. Smell of coffee grinds, roast, cocoa powder and smoke, with a metallic-like note in between. Slightly sweet and roasty taste, with notes of black coffee, bittersweet chocolate and malts. Kinda bitter aftertaste. Although kind of watery beer, I wouldn’t mind another one.

(Belhaven Black Scottish Stout (Cask)) Tap at Folks pub, full pint. Dark mahogany brown colour on the body, tall and thick, creamy, tan head on top, with very good retention. Aroma of toasted malts, toffee, light caramel. Taste of roasted malts, caramel , chocolate, light metallic notes. Medium thick body, soft carbonation, smooth on the palate. Not bad at all.
