Clear dark brown - orange amber colour with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, roasted, dark malt, vanilla notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, dark roasted, roasted, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130216]

Cask at The Magpie, Nicholson’s, London. Pours dark brown with a tight, creamy head. Ashy roast aroma. Light sweet flavor, some tobacco, lacto cocoa, mild earth. Light bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Light sweet finish, some bittersweet cocoa, more tobacco, burnt sugar, faint leaves and dirt. Somewhat light on character but overall not bad.
