(bottle, as Black Scottish Stout, 4.2% abv) Clear, ruby colour with a beige mid-sized foamy head. Mildly roasted and earthy malty aroma with notes of chocolate and Crème brûlée. Moderately roasty bitter and mildly sweet flavour, light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Roast-malty and slightly earty taste with notes of dark chocolate, mocha, caramel and a hoppy touch in the background, leading into a dry and moderately bitter and roasty finish. A likeable Stout. 31.VIII.12

Middel til kraftig ristet maltsmag, som kan have karakter af kaffe, chokolade, lakrids eller korn. Brændt karakter og middel humlebitterhed karakteriserer eftersmagen.

Bottle at the Royal Albert Hall prior to seeing Marillion. Pours black with a lasting beige head. Aroma of chocolate, dark fruit, toasted malts and very light coffee. Medium plus sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Finish is dry and sweet with a light roasted edge.

Alebarasi (147) - Dobrova, SLOVENIA - SEP 11, 2017
Dense black color with 1 finger colored head. Smell of coffee grinds, roast, cocoa powder and smoke, with a metallic-like note in between. Slightly sweet and roasty taste, with notes of black coffee, bittersweet chocolate and malts. Kinda bitter aftertaste. Although kind of watery beer, I wouldn’t mind another one.

radassace (409) - SCOTLAND - SEP 9, 2017
500ml bottle. Pours deep ruby with a tan head. Nose is roasted malt, milk chocolate, prunes and weak coffee. Light, watery mouth feel. Bitterness first on the taste. Some roasted malt, milk chocolate and dark fruits too. Dry finish. Ok, but there was a slight sour edge cutting through the beer which I didn't like.

4 Cans from Asda in Dunfermline/Halbeath. Appearance is black with a couple centimetre head. The smell is a bit of charcoal, may be a bit of chocolate/something sweet in there. The taste is a bit of chocolate, may be some coffee, not really much too it. Fine.

Good look, black with a nice contrast with the white head. Creamy feel. Plain dark roast, lots of cardboard throughout. Meh.

Nikokaoja (346) - Ljubljana, SLOVENIA - AUG 2, 2017
2. 8. 2017, Ljubljana. Canned. Familiar roasted coffee aroma, pitch black with very creamy foam and body. Taste also resembles the most renown stout, coffee taste. Milky mouthful. Aftertaste is quickly gone though. Could last a bit longer to linger on the tounge. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
