Lucremon (13) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - FEB 9, 2008
500ml bottle. Modest, slightly beige head with tenacious lacing and a nice warm, copper-red colour. Subtle aroma of caramel and dried fruit (red currant and raisin?). Light-medium bodied with sweet notes again and a slightly malty, balanced finish. Not outstanding by any means but I think this is worthy of a higher average score.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper color with a small off-white head. Malty caramel aroma with some hoppy hints. Sweet malty flavor with hints of caramel and hops. Malty caramel finish.

A Mes rate: Bottle from Peckhams and consumed on the train on the 6 hour journey back to London. Heavy mid brown with a pretty solid and creamy off white head. Very strong but not overly pleasant nose with heavy tobacco in a dusty old pub way with some very sweet malt and slight medicinal notes. Flavour is similar, nasty sweet malt, orange, raisins and a bit of chocolate. Rather nasty tobacco finish. Not great.

Bottle courtesy of cgarvieuk cheers Craig, consumed outside my tent at Towersey Festival Dark amber in colour with quite good sized off-white head, nice aroma maybe toffee? Sweet fruity and malty tasting bitter that went down very well.

Rune (14062) - Tromsø, NORWAY - AUG 18, 2007
500ml bottle enjoyed with food at Pegasus in Copenhagen. Lasting beige foam leaving good lacing on the glass. Dark brown body. Roasted notes of malt in aroma. Dark malty taste supported by a touch of sweet caramel. Bitter finish. Standard british bitter. (03.08.2007).

fonefan (53055) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JUL 1, 2007
Bottle. Clear medium amber color with a small to average frothy fair lacing mostly lasting off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruit, light hoppy, orange. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.

Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUN 10, 2007
Nice head, dark brown color with a red hue. The aroma is malty and sweet, almost like a "hvidtøl". The flavour also is malty, sweet and the finish has a light bitterness. IMO this one lacks complexity - it’s too one-dimensional.

cgarvieuk (26609) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 8, 2007
bottle at home ... ruby brown ... light hop light malt nose ... very fruity ... very little malt ... quite soft and mellow ...

gnoff (11234) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - APR 8, 2007
(Draught at Gaestgivaregaarden, Helsingør, Denmark) Clear brown color, thick creamy tan head. Fruity and wet pipe tobacco scent. Very fruity and sweet, also tobacco, taste. Smooth velvet like mouthfeel. Low bitterness.

RoyceH (1200) - Hesperange, LUXEMBOURG - FEB 26, 2007
Bottle. Pours dark amber with an off-white bubbly head, fades quickly. Nose of hops, soap suds, some malt and some oakwood smoke. Flavour is slightly malty sweet, floral, then some hoppiness, touch of sour fruit and then some smoky peat. Sweetness continues in the mouth for a long time. Peat taste and smokiness lasts right through to the finish. Finish is slightly too hoppy, but good, little heavy for a bitter. Straightfoward.
