Malty and hoppy, we at Belhaven love the classic Scottish Ale and we’ve been brewing it longer than any of the other beers we produce. Delivering a sweet, smooth and creamy finish, Scottish Ale has a stunning ruby colour in the glass. Magic.

Nitro can, the massive foamy head slowly dissipates revealing a clear copper colored brew with a creamy head. Has a bittersweet, dusty, slightly mineral scent. Sweet with hints of butterscotch candy, bread dough, earthy (peaty)? Pedestrian.

Nitro Can. Ar: Herbal, slightly astringent woody hops; light graininess. Ap: Amber-brown, clear; cascading nitro head, leaves a thick, creamy head. T: Rich and toasty, with a deep breadiness; medium sweetness with bready crust and faint light caramels; red apple and pineapple esters, at a medium-low intensity, mingle with some understated coffee; herbal and woody hops on the finish, with a very low bitterness. O: Medium body with a soft carbonation that creates a mouth-filling perception; finish is medium-dry. O: Very tasty sessionable brown ale; there is a lot of richness and flavor packed into this beer; the deep breadiness, soft carbonation, and well-integrated ester profile really create a solid, satisfying, and quaffable brown ale.
