COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
bottle, US export version
Malty and hoppy, we at Belhaven love the classic Scottish Ale and we’ve been brewing it longer than any of the other beers we produce. Delivering a sweet, smooth and creamy finish, Scottish Ale has a stunning ruby colour in the glass. Magic.

Bursztynowe, klarowne, piana średnio obfita, drobne i średnie pęcherzyki, dość szybko się redukuje. W aromacie trochę skunks, karmel, toffi, słód, cukier, niezbyt mocny, ale wyraźnie ziołowy aromat, takie oregano. Trochę skórki od chleba. W smaku słodowe - nieco ciasteczkowe, nieco chlebowe, nieco przypieczonej skórki od chleba, nieco nawet orzechowe, nieco coli. Poza tym trochę karmelu, odrobina owocowych estrów. Słodkawe. Na finiszu lekki posmak chmielowy, bardziej ziemisty no i skunksowy. Goryczka bardzo niska. Raczej pełne. Wysycenie średnie do wysokiego.

Recommended to me by a friend living in Scotland. This probably doesn’t taste like the ale served in Scotland, but what we get is still great. A real workhorse of an ale that I could drink often and not tire of. No gimmicks, just a great tasting ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500 ml bottle. Amber-brown, clear, leaves a thick, creamy head. The aroma has grass, nuts, bit caramel. The taste is light bitter, light sweet, has nutty and caramel malts, light toasted and there is grass.

330ml bottle. Copper colour with a white foam head leaving lacing. Dried fruits and caramel aroma. Taste is malty, bready, toffee, sweetish, with a blackcurrant hop note and some bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi-dry tangy bitter finish. Quite OK.

The aromatic skunk of a clear bottle, some earthy and caramel malts too. Pours a light amber, decent ivory colored head. Nice effervescence, caramel, roots, earth, an enjoyable sweetness. I could see a draft version being significantly better.

Piwo klarowne w kolorze brazowo - rubinowym nalewa sie z niezbyt trwala sredniopecherzykowa piana tworzac cienka warstwe. Aromat karmelowy, smakuje troche jak cola z podobnym wysyceniem i niska goryczka. Wodniste i slodkie.

Bottle. Dark brown, low tanned head. Ashen oxidized caramel malt nose. Medium light body, mellow. Bloody on the palate, light sparkles. Oxidized caramel and hay malt, light fruity finish. Mhh, wonder what it tastes like fresh.

Copper with little white head. Aroma is butter, rust, brown sugar, caramel, slight smoke. Taste is rusty oxidized, bitter with some sweet notes. A bit dry but still ok drinkability. Not bad.
