COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
bottle, US export version
Malty and hoppy, we at Belhaven love the classic Scottish Ale and we’ve been brewing it longer than any of the other beers we produce. Delivering a sweet, smooth and creamy finish, Scottish Ale has a stunning ruby colour in the glass. Magic.

EvNa (651) - Ede, NETHERLANDS - JAN 28, 2018
Bottle. Color: Clear copper, very thin beige head. Taste: Very malty and very smooth, nicely combined with medium hopbitter and caramel notes. Very lightly hints of peat and smoke. Medium to above medium body, light carbonation. Nice.

Skarecrow (1106) - North Shore, Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 27, 2018
500ml bottle Red/brown pour with good head. Grainy/malt aroma with some woody and caramel notes. Mild bitterness, malty palate - quite sweet and a hint of oxidation creeping in (BB May 2018). Nothing overly startling.

midovark (1177) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JAN 21, 2018
0.33 l bottle purchased back in Fuengirola. Pours copper with thin, quickly disappearing head. Nose is moderate sweet grainy and fruity. Its taste is in fact better, with notes of nuts, grains and some fruits. Short sweet finish, light, and somewhat watery mouthfeel and average carbo. Bit mediocre, but without outstanding flaws.

Belhaven is definitely doing something in sync with my taste, this is again another straight good beer. Crisp, sharp, very easy to drink.

Get in ya! This is beautifully aromatic, looks great, and drinks properly nice. Malty as all heck all over.

I was a little disappointed in this beer as I expected it to be more hoppy but it did have a tinge of the wee heavy taste which I enjoy. Overall an OK craft.
