Belhaven Scottish Oat Stout is dark, rich and layered, with a wonderful silky texture and a lingering finish. We uses a complex mash including roasted barley and oats along with 3 types of malt to give the beer its trademark depth and complexity: Creating black coffee and dark chocolate notes that make this stout intense yet approachable.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Black beer with thin tan head. Tarry dark chocolate aroma. Some cereal on a dark stout. Dry stout. chocolate. light molasses. Not much else. but decent enough. It's a bit sweet. OK but not sure i'd have it again. But some dry malt, but a little too much residual sweetness.

Dark brown, strong beige head. Aroma: deep roasted, light vinous notes, bitter chocolate. Taste: light sweetness, light acidity. Flavour: some prunes, some dark chocolate. Clean, roasted, good.

Bottle from local Yamaya store. Nose of roast malt, chocolate, light licorice, and some coffee. Very dark brown with a foamy dark beige head. Sweet dark chocolate, coffee, touch of licorice, a little salt, soy sauce, and dark sugar, Small bitterness in the finish. Medium body, a little creamy. Very nice. Moderate but edging onto rich flavors. Best beer I've had from Belhaven.

Opaque black color with a creamy light brown head of foam that is short lived. Smooth and velvety chocolate and caramel grain with a mild and smooth cold brew coffee finish. Very good.

Nice dark aspect, with tan, dense, head. Smoked taste with hints of chocolate and coffee beans. Very consistent aroma and taste though the end. A surprise at this price range/location (Mexico) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330 ml bottle. Pours a dark red-brown with a tn colored head. Aroma of roasted malt with lots of dark fruits, milk chocolate, some woody notes. Medium to full creamy body with a very low carbonation and a medium to medium heavy sweetness. The flavor is again full of sweetish roasted malt - chocolate, raisins, brown sugar. Lightly sweet and lightly bitter roasty finish.
