Pours black from the bottle with a thin creamy head. Aroma is lots of roasted malts and coffee. Taste is bitter coffee, chocolate and, more faintly, amaretto. The hops make themselves felt in the long bitter finish. Palate is creamy, the body is lighter than usual for the style. Pleasant.

Black, creamy brown lace. Licorice roast notes, bitter chocolate . Dry medium body. Herbal notes, dry roast chocoate, spice and licorice. Needs some chewiness and somethiing to cut through the dry notes to be moreish.

Too sweet for me for a stout. Put me off immediately with the sickly sugary after taste. Has a pleasant smokey, caramel toffee, chocolate/coffee aroma, however. No head to report in my glass anyway, with very little, and a quickly disappearing lacing. (had an APA in glass before pouring however). Again, too sweet. Shame.

Aroma; roasted malts, grass, coffee, dusty cocoa.
Taste; roasted malts, soft hops, coffee, black chocolate - leading to a lingering finish in mocca chocolate.
