Bottle from Yamaya. Pours a clear copper-gold, off white head that thins and laces. Vanilla and whisky sweet aroma, caramel and toffee biscuit, apricots. Sweet malt flavour, caramel that seques into a whisky note that mingles interestingly with a late fruity ale hop push. A bit raspy and thin to support the flavours, but plenty to intrigue.

Coarse persistent foam. Weak aroma of caramel malt. The taste is rich and exciting with a good taste of caramel, peach and ripe pears. It is a beer that leans heavily to the sweet side, but is characterized by the storage of Whisky barrels. It makes it a bit extravagant and tasteful. Towards the end you taste a little vanilla and a little taste of alcoholic flavor, although the strength is not huge in this beer. A little bit of vanilla mixes in the otherwise anonymous hops bitterness. It's a beer with fine taste and exciting flavors, but overall I think it's a bit too sweet of both fruits and what I think is added sweeteners. A little less sweetness and a little more pressure on the whiskey barrels had probably given it more impact.

Very little head but the flavour of the oak barrel was distinctively Belhaven. Was a good ale that would never be pushed away by me.

Pale golden-Amber pour. The nose is quite vanilla laden with a hint of butterscotch and a touch of pslrmalt sweetness. Lightly fruity esters with a bit of toffee and some lingering sweetness. Pretty nice. Kind of Innis and Gunn'ish

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2017 Second one from the 6-pack, another nice surprise for me, I really enjoy the clean crisp taste of the beer. Savoury.

Pours clear amber with a sparse white head. Aroma is marshmallows. Taste is sweet and a little sour. There are notes of marshmallow or vanilla, a little oaky whisky, a hint of peat. Medium bodied with plenty of sharp carbonation. It has loads of vanilla giving the impression that it’s much sweeter than it is. It’s also hard to detect anything underneath that blanket. The whiskey peaks through but that’s pretty much it. Kind of a heavy handed Innis and Gunn Original

Acquistata @FieraDellartigianato in Milano. Colore ramato chiaro. Schiuma bianca poco persistente. Al naso note di caramello, biscotti al burro, liquore all'amaretto. Al palato l'amaro liquoroso del whisky è accompagnato da dolci note maltate vanigliate-caramellate e sentori di uva passa. Bassa carbonazione. Texture quasi oleosa.
