Belhaven Brewery’s flagship American-style IPA. A bold but refreshing ale using pale malt to provide sweetness and a little Crystal malt for extra toffee and a touch of astringency. Challenger provides clean bitterness and an underlying herbal hoppyness. Hersbrucker adds a little fruit, spiciness and floral character and Cascade as the late hop adds masses of grapefruit citrus aroma and taste and floral fragrance. All three hops contribute to the bold bitterness and satisfying finish as well as the huge “hop store” aroma.
Ingredients: Pale malt, Cascade, Hersbrucker and Challenger hops.

4.5 ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2017 Acquistata @Fieradellartigianato in Milano. Colore ambrato chiaro e brillante.  Bel cappello di schiuma bianca compatta, pannosa, con molte bollicine e persistente. Al naso sentori caramellati e leggermente di frutti rossi. In bocca sapore decisamente maltato e resinoso-erbaceo.

33 cl bottle. Clear, golden amber, medium white head, nice lacing, medium-high carbonation. Clearly it's a hoppy beer, with floral and grassy notes to the nose. Medium mouthfeel, nice carbonation. Taste is very spicy. To me, it's totally dominated by black pepper, crystal malts shows off in the aftertaste. A bottling date would be nice, Belhaven!!

Pours clear gold with a small white head. Aroma is floral and grassy. Taste is moderately bitter up front with moderate sweetness in the finish. There are notes of floral hops, resin, honey, and nutty malt. Medium bodied with low carbonation. Not bad but not an American ipa. The hops taste German and the mouthfeel is English.

Bottle. 'Tis my will when I die, not a tear shall be shed, No Hic Jacet be graved on my stone, But pour o'er my coffin a bottle of red, And write that His Drinking is Done.

From 0.33 l bottle. Pours yellowish to copper with nice white head, that quickly disappears. Nice smell of hops. Medium body, with some citrus aroma. Bit bitter, not too much. Kind of sweet aftertaste with notes of grapefruit. Not bad IPA.

Bottle. Medium white head on a clear amber body. Nice, tart citric aroma, resin, a bit floral and perfumey, light nail polish remover. Starts out tart, with light sweetness, just a little bitterness. Slick, soft medium body with lively carbonation. Surprisingly nice!

Bottle. Aroma hoppy with pleasant malt hues. Taste: sweetish, malty, slightly fruity, with nuts, mild hop bitterness.
