Belhaven Brewery’s flagship American-style IPA. A bold but refreshing ale using pale malt to provide sweetness and a little Crystal malt for extra toffee and a touch of astringency. Challenger provides clean bitterness and an underlying herbal hoppyness. Hersbrucker adds a little fruit, spiciness and floral character and Cascade as the late hop adds masses of grapefruit citrus aroma and taste and floral fragrance. All three hops contribute to the bold bitterness and satisfying finish as well as the huge “hop store” aroma.
Ingredients: Pale malt, Cascade, Hersbrucker and Challenger hops.

20. 7. 2017, Klimno. Bottled. Standard IPA with classical aroma and flavour. Medium bodied. Have to reevaluate at a later time. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a golden amber with a thin head. Aroma of fruits and caramel. Taste is bitter, caramel. Long bitter finish typical of IPA.

der er ikke meget ipa over denne øl. den har en tør humlet smag, uden at være så gennemtrængende som en ipa gerne er. den har en god sødme, og er meget letdrikkelig. ikke det store sus, en finøl til at slukke tørsten

Bottle from Total Wine, South Richmond. My bottle says 5.6%, so this is the European version I assume. Pours pale golden with a small white head. Aroma is mild floral hops, slight caramel. Flavor is sweet caramel, bitter floral hops, almost a honey taste. Not crazy about this.

Thomatito (130) - SWITZERLAND - JUN 30, 2017
0,3l bottle. Nose: sweet sticky caramel, grassy. Taste: sweet caramel, slight floral and then fair bitterness. For me not really an IPA as I would expect.

0.33l bottle. Golden color with white head. Aroma is floral, fruity, malty, spicy and citrusy. Taste is medium bitter with some citrusy, spicy, earthy notes along with some maltiness. Dry finish. Overall it’s very good beer, very drinkable.

I bought this bottle, small size, at the drink of the world in Geneva, I drank this Scottish one, on the train, from Geneva to Sion. In my opinion, I fairly appreciate this beer, classical IPA. The body is copper, classical color, thin brown and white head, the carbonation is classical for the style. The taste is bitter, fruity, hop giving these aromas, malt hidden by the hop, well balanced during all the phases, good job.
