It poured a clear, deep brown with a small off-white head. The strong malt flavor was lightly balanced with the hops. The robust mouth-feel was mellow and left a malt laced aftertaste. It satisfied all the criteria of a "wee Heavy.

UPDATED: FEB 18, 2018 Fles 33cl thuis. Rood fruit, droppig, prettig zoet, light sticky mouthfeel, volle smaak. (18-2-2018)

11.2oz bottle. Unfiltered deep brown body. Foamy, thin, off-white head. Big, sweet, fruit ale yeast aroma. Malt centered, deep, but at 7.5% is still pretty reasonably drinkable. Well attenuated perhaps, there is no sticky overbearing malt sweetness. Quite a nice beer. Classic. A pinch thinner than many of its Brethren.

Acquired this 330 ml bottle from the Cellar in Odessa, TX, thanks Charlie. The cap comes off and the bottle is tilted into my ABGB tulip glass. Nice presentation, scotch ales usually do, brown almost black fluid with hints of red. The head arrives eggshell white that dissipates fairly quickly. The scent is molasses and brown sugar. But we are here to drink, right? Hmm, this is not bad. Grain and hay, toffee, toast, malt, a hard candy sweetness, all finishing with a slight burn. Scotch ales do not trip my trigger but this is pretty fine. I would do again.

On bottle @Ølfred - Aarhus Streetfood. Pours deep red, with small head. The scent is malty sweetness. Notes of prunes and apricots. The taste is intensely sweet! High carbonated. Really sweet, almost Barley Wine like.

Zapach bardzo ładny karmelowy i słodowy, trochę ziemiste. Piana nietrwała ciemnobrązowe, ciemnorubinowe. Smak karmelowy, słodkie, ziemiste trochę. Nisko nagazowane, chociaż słodkie, trochę śliwkowe. Ciało średnie. W odczuciu w ustach trochę torfowe. Alkohol niewyczuwalny.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

0.33 l bottle from 'Hopt', best before November 2017. Very dark ruby with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, fruity, a bit vinous aroma of molasses, raisins, prunes and some port. Fairly sweet, malty, slightly bitter, fruity and slightly vinous taste of molasses, raisins, prunes, Glühwein and some port, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, slightly warming, vinous finish. Medium to full body, slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Tasty sipper, a bit one-dimensional though.

I'm starting to enjoy this brewery very much. Clean taste, kind of higher rate of I&G. Strong barley wine taste or malt liquor, sweet side of beer. I like these a lot.

A-. Pours a dark brown color with white head. Rich flavor with notes of dried fruit
