COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lighthouse Lager is the youngest member of Belize Brewing’s beer family. It has a soft golden color with a more floral aroma. It is brewed with the finest Canadian Pilsner malt and an expertly chosen combination of German hops that delivers its refined subtle aroma. Only the freshest yeast is chosen for this delicate beer, slightly more dry but with a noble hop aroma and flavor. Crisp and refreshing, it can be enjoyed any time of day. In terms of color, taste and alcohol content Lighthouse is lighter than the other existing beers in the portfolio.

Tiny little pony bottle on my honeymoon. Poured a clear pale yellow color, with a small white head. Aroma of cereal grains and straw. Light sweetness. Corn finish. Crisp.

Bottle. Clear pale yellow color, white head. Aroma of cheerios and straw. Taste is grainy straw.

Tried several bottles of this at several locations in Belize city and Hopkins, Belize. This rating is based on the one sole bottle that wasn’t skunked to all hell. All of the others were freaking horrible. When the revolution comes, brewers that use clear/green glass bottles will not be spared. This was about what you’d expect from a macro light beer: corn water, sweet, watery as all hell. Good luck finding one of these that doesn’t taste/smell like a dead skunks butthole!

Rather unpleasant, malty and skunky aroma, super not intense. Almost no taste at all. Seems to be just a sparkling water with a little malty and bitter touches. Perfect example of tasteless beer.

Small bottle purchased solely for the new country tick (Belize). This was skunky, even for a low grade, adjunct filled Caribbean lager. The Tang flavored rum punch from the cave tubing company was better than this. Much better.

Bottle (237 ml) on Cave Tubing excursion. Skunky, light, grainy and other than the skunk, not a lot of flavor. Not the highlight of the trip. Back to rum punch. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, brought to me by Trevor-- thanks buddy! Tiny green bottle with a rusty cap. Medium golden, white head that rapidly fades. Big skunk, whoa! Corny pale malts and slinky hops, thin. As expected.

courtesy of Lukas Flückiger - bright and translucid golden beer with a poor head retention; aroma of cardboard; thin-bodied, tart, astringent, raw and short papery finish - fairly bad

Quite possibly the first and only 237ml bottle I’ll ever have. Shared @ Shrewsbury Beer Share, courtesy of Gene! Many thanks. Pours clear gold with small foam head. Unsurprisingly unremarkable, but also not that bad either. It’s a straightforward lager with moderate bitterness.

Cheers Gene for this new country tick: 237cl bottle between 5 of us at the December 2015 Shrewsbury Beer Exchange Group meeting. Just enough in my glass to see it was golden with a wispy head. Light/weak floral nose, bland in the taste, refreshing on a sunny beach or the jungle, but not a great beer for a windy, wet and cold December night in Shropshire: scored objectively.
