Hazy gold. Thin fizzy white head. Aroma is bourbon, vanilla, cream, peach, banana cream pie. Flavor is very sweet, packed with the same stuff as the aroma. Sugary banana and peach syrup drizzled with bourbon. A crusty bread finish. Good in small doses.

Sampled @ AZ Strong Beer Fest...two misses in a row! Utterly shocked! Again, sweet and alcoholic. Have never tried quince...and will absolutely avoid in the future. Everything clashes. This is the liquid embodiment of the gang fight in Anchorman. Loved the movie but the beer I’d like to forget!

rumproasts (6035) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - MAR 10, 2015
tap at 2015 michigan winter beer fest. Amber with minimal head. Big and boozy with some fruity citrus. Medium alcohol warmth. Solid complexity.

cards04 (2923) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - JAN 25, 2015
This is one potent brew. Pours a shimmering orange with a ring of white head around the glass. Aromas are definitely barrel with fruity quince. Flavor is boozy, quince. Warmth on the way down. A nice winter sipper.

8 oz pour at Bell’s- head doesn’t last long. Very lovely fruit smell. With heavy bourbon barrel taste to cover the 13+%. A great little glass of beer.

arminjewell (9720) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - DEC 31, 2014
Pour on tap at Crunchy’s, hazy orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of maple, oak, vanilla, some bourbon, touch of fruity notes into a bit of earth, some spice. Taste is a mix of sweet wheat, maple, hints of oak, bourbon, slight roast almost into fruity sweetness, some tropical fruit, booze, finishing sweet.

mikem409 (2029) - bloomfield, Michigan, USA - NOV 24, 2014
Tap at Ashley’s. Color is murky yellow and brown. Thin ring of foam head. Aroma is black note all day! Taste is sweet and hot. Passion fruit and barrel yum.

umich03jm (3512) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - NOV 11, 2014
Sampled at MBG Fall Festival. Hazy brown-orange pour with a small head. Aroma is super fruity and wheat-y. Citrus, wheat, oak, honey, and passion fruit. Tastes like passion fruit, wheat and oak. Hints of boozy liqueur show up in the finish. Cool beer.

3.4
deyholla (12314) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - OCT 25, 2014
On tap at the Eccentric Cafe. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of quince with some wheat backing and a touch of sweet barrel. Flavor is full of quince with a touch of vanilla and sweet wheat backing.

3.5
tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - OCT 14, 2014
Tap @ Bells: Muddy & swampy, burnt copper-brown in color with a foamy, sticky, ecru collar that hangs around for a bit. Aroma of gummy wheat, citrus & fruity sweetness, some residual sugars, brown sugar, & mild honey adding a big bolt of sweetness towards the back-end. A touch of booze. Not much barrel aging present on the nose, otherwise. Light tart citrus & black cherry flavor up front on the palate. Honey coated prunes, soft wheat, & a mid-palate full of dry, bready yeast. Candied citrus, sticky toffee, & a touch of boozy wood towards the finish with a slight dash of cocoa powder. Hefty body with a nice creaminess. This is such an improvement over Wheat Love.
