From 2d2dspuma. In Ikea's pint glass. Playing Cally's Caves 3. Lots of foam, requiring 2 pours. Dont let its aspect deceive you. Its feel is really smooth and creamy and has superb roasted notes in both nose and mouth. Really drinkable unclefrito62 (408) - Stow, Ohio, USA - FEB 4, 2018
Pint at Winking Lizard Peninsula, Ohio. One inch beige head, little bit of film on glass. Deep brown in color. Smell the malt. Taste the malt, creamy, semi sweet, and medium bodied. Smooth on the palate with malt and chocolate notes for an after taste. Very nice porter! Cheers! Subliminal64 (261) - London, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 28, 2018
Where Purchased: 347ml bottle from the Meijer in Michigan (drive home from Chicago) Consumed: from a pilsner glass Aroma:
Smells malty and sweet with a hint of smoke.
Appearance : unfiltered medium to dark brown with decent head that disappears within the first few sips. Excellent sticky lacing.
Taste: very well balanced. Malty, sweet with a hint of hops and smokyness. Not overpowering like most porters can be.
Palate : medium body. Bittersweet aftertaste. Low carbonation.
Overall: Another well balanced and easy drinking beer. Not overpowering with chocolate or smoke or spices. I was glad to try and will definatley buy again. MB. The Beer "Bear"on. silva6411 (60) - King, North Carolina, USA - JAN 1, 2018
Poured nice. Low carbonation and not that exciting with taste. Average Porter

Drank a six pack of this yesterday for Christmas. Dark brew with a very thick head that smells and tastes like a porter should. While nothing really notable to set this one apart from other porters it was a great beer for the holiday. dokushin (3) - Roswell, Georgia, USA - DEC 10, 2017 does not count
My favorite nonlocal porter by reasonable margin -- this is from notes and experience.
Pours almost pitch black in color, quite opaque in glass, light tan head, laces well. Average body with clean texture is not as thick as a porter could be, but smell and taste are spot on --
nice roasty malty notes, kind of an earthy dark character and mild sweetness and offset well with an interesting hop bitterness. Easy to find and in the usual price band. ttutony (959) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 15, 2017
Very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of roasted malt: coffee, toast, chocolate. Similar flavors follow on the palate. Moderate bitterness with a medium length finish. KansaiBeerLvrs (5568) - Kyoto, JAPAN - NOV 11, 2017
Fron notes. As a Porter I am expecting it to be more roasty and thinner bodied than the stout.
It pours a dark cola black with a filmy tan head and a big roasty chocolate savoury aroma.
Yep, medium to light bodied with a dry finish. Roasty, chocolate, licorice (very very mild) and savoury umami type flavors. This is a really nice robust Porter. o_Merlin_o (235) - San Diego, California, USA - NOV 9, 2017
Pours motor oil black. Creamy coffee head with excellent lacing. Aroma of coffee and wet leather. Bitter coffee and wet grass taste. Ewwwww.
