NikkTwist (3345) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 12, 2017
UPDATED: JUL 12, 2017 Draft at Bru Craft. Silky black pour with a creamy tan head. Large splashes of lace. Strong whiskey notes over a deep roasty dark malt base. Bitter coffee. Cocoa. Brazil nuts. Black liquorice. Vanilla. Peat. High ABV well hidden. Very smooth but uneven enough to invite an unusual character.

AWISLguy (3327) - Wisconsin, USA - JUL 6, 2017
On tap at Champps in Brookfield. Almost black pour with a brown head. Big whiskey nose. Some cocoa krispies. Taste is super smooth; chocolate, coffee, oak, sweet malts, barrel. Excellent. Full bodied, the blend is very good and there is some alcohol presence. Finishes sweeter than bittersweet, with length. This is excellent. 16.5

Tap at the source. Pours black, tan head. Aroma is fresh malts (unbrewed) whiskey, vanilla galore, werther’s, caramel, toffee, butterscotch, dark fruit, cherry, raisin, fig. It smells like a brewery tour. Flavor is whiskey, chocolate, vanilla, toffee, caramel, really smooth body but not too thin. Great.

seymour (2120) - Maplewood, Missouri, USA - JUN 26, 2017
Sampled at 777th Criderfest in a Willybecher glass, an opaque brown colour with deep beige foam, lasting with lace. Intense porter aromas and flavours. Everything is dialed to the max. Very malty-sweet but not too sweet. Very full bodied but not too full. Strong oak/vanillin/whiskey traits but not too strong. Roasty but not too roasty. Boozy but not too hot. Bready, nutty, chewy, like a meal in a glass. Great stuff.

Draft at Ei8ht Ball for Peanut-palooza. Pours an oily dark brown to black in color with a small khaki colored head. The aroma and flavor have big chocolate, dark fruit and barrel character, blackberry, raisins, whiskey, dark chocolate, light coffee, viscous, vanilla, this was a treat and I would like to try this again sometime.
