Caramel malt balances nicely with lightly spicy hops in the nose. Clear golden-copper with decent and lasting, pillowy, white head. Some lacing. Light sweet caramel malts balance well with spicy hop flavour and decent balancing bitterness. Medium-light body and strong, effervescent carbonation. Sure, its pretty conservative for a winter seasonal and doesnt exactly push the envelope, but really, for a pale lager, its fairly good. Bottle.

Amber lager with a thin off-white head. Sweet caramel aroma with fruity pear notes. Fairly clean malt taste with nice nuttyness, and nice lingering german hops in finish. Medium bodied. Considering this is 9 month olds, it is quite a resilient beer!

Bouteille 341 ml. 5.2%. Couleur ambre ple, mousse blanche-beige ple.

My wife got the winter taste pack of this, never tried it before, and was pleasantly surprised. Nice smooth hopped taste, with a nice level of carbonate, and you definitely taste the barley as well. Easy on the palate. Real nice winter beer. Don?t drink it to cold to really appreciate it.

Cheers!

First encounter with a winter lager so I didnt quite know what to expect. The first aspect to hit you is the robe exposing a light copper shade with lots of micro-carbonation. The head is lightly beige and retains pretty well, even showing a little bit of lacing. The nose is at midpoint between roasted matls and an aggressive vegetable aroma I hope isnt originating from the hops. On the tongue, you get those same raosted malts again but very faint for they are overpowered by what seems to be a Czech hops attack overwhelming your mouth with a distinctive vegetable broth flavour. The mouthfeel is creamy and just a bit sharp at first hand. This one leaves an aftertaste not so enjoyable but gives a fainter presence of the hops you then get to decode. I considered this lager as being too hoppy and lacking balance. Not one of my best tries.

Has a nice robust aroma and presents well, but the overall taste is terribly thin.
