Dark red brown colored beer with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts and dark fruits. Soft bitter taste from the roasted malts, a bit coffee, chocolate and dark fruits. Medium bodied and well balanced. jmgreenuk (10004) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - DEC 16, 2012
Bottle at the Essen Christmas Beer Festival. Poured a dark brown colour with a thick tan head. The aroma is weak malty. The flavour is bitter with liqourice and slightly watery. Other people liked this beer but I thought it rather bland. deanso (10101) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - DEC 16, 2012

Hazy and very dark brown beer. Big frothy biscuit coloured head. Light spice on the nose. Light dry palate, a little soft. Dark malt is light and dry and just slightly roasted. A trace of lactose sweetness. Finishes dry. A light porter I would say!
Dark hazy body and a small creamy off-white head. Nice aroma of chocolate, coffee, yeast and roasted malt. Medium sweet and light bitterness, mostly from the roasted malt. Creamy texture. Parket (586) - Bruges, BELGIUM - MAY 14, 2012
33cl Bottle, from Dranken Geers, dark brown coloured with foamy, stable and lacing dark head. Smell: industrial, some metalic. Taste: roasted malts, raisins, some malty and sweet notes. Not bad and simple palate, not blowing away. FatPhil (17080) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - APR 29, 2012
330ml bottle (101 Beers, Tampere)
Black as you hat, and crowned with a large spongy beige head. Glorious! Slightly coffee-ish roast aroma. Says stout to me, not old ale. Taste confirms that, a lovely rich black malt burnt roastiness. Anna gets a bit of ashiness, I would say it was quite that, but it is quite burnt. Nice dry belgian stout. Lovely smooth palate, gentle carbonation, quite succulent. Finish isn’t just the smooth dark roast, it’s packed full of fruity esters too. A complex and excellently crafted beer.
