33cl Bottle: best before 02/2012. Poured into a Hoegaarden Grand Cru badged stemmed tulip @ home during a random tasting evening on 16 Nov 2012. Golden looking brew, slight haze with a small white head on top. The nose was all about Belgian yeasts and semi sweet citrusy notes: the taste followed along the same lines and when the usual witbier spicy flavours arrived in the mouth they seemed to be stronger and better than normal. I really enjoyed this beer and I dont class this style as a favourite of mine. Good body depth for the style and all in all a fine brew.

The looks of the beer are quite simple. The color of the beer is a rather pale yellowish. There is a slight haziness. On top of the beer a small layer of very rough foam is formed, with collapses quickly. Almost no foam is left after seconds. The smell of the beer is mild. It is nice though. It has some distinct witbier features. I smell some citrus aromas, zest. It has a bitterness to it, but also a sourness and a slight sweet touch. There is also a spicy aroma, probably coriander. I might smell a malty and a hoppy thing in there. The witbier features, coriander and zest, are good. the smell is nice, but it could have been a bit stronger. The taste of the beer is also simple. Some zest and coriander, malty touches and a hoppy twist. Not very special or strong, but also not bad. The palate is average. Medium body and carbonation and a long enough finish, containing some nice hops. Not a bad beer.

This is a very nice, typical Blanche. Perfect summer beer with fresh taste of lime and coriander. Hazy colour, low carbonization and shy head. Very drinkable.

Belle couleur jaune ple, mousse moyenne. Nez pic, houblonn et citronn, fruit. Bouche lattaque ronde, fruite, bel quilibre entre fracheur et amertume, finale quilibre. De nouveau une belle blanche bien faite.

- Alcoholpercentage van 4,8% - Biertje gedronken destijds dat me niet kon bekoren - Kan me veel lekkerder biertjes voorstellen, maar kan met mijn smaakvoorstelling te maken hebben - Vandaar mijn lage beoordeling ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Summer ale with cream white, regular, not very stable head and dirty straw yellow colour with vaguely greenish hue, misty; the bottom of the bottle held very large, pale protein flakes reminiscent of very old cheese - needless to say this ruined my appetite before even tasting it. Strongly wheaty aroma, also impressions of grapefruit, soaked corn, coriander, cheese, flowers, lemon peel and very off-putting sulphuric odours reminiscent of sweat and eggs. Taste begins with a lemony sourishness, then some honeyish malt sweetness, coriander hints, dry finish due to the citrussy sourishness, very brief hop accent and unfortunately - and as feared - a certain rancidness that must have something to do with the proteins that never should have been there. Could have been okay if it were not for the obvious fault.
