Nice to taste it on cask after only having had bottles before - and 2 years ago. Not in the best condition at the bowls club. Hmm, it did grow on me. Theres a certain distinctive sweet brownie flavour to this one. Its actually pretty good at core, like it could be an icon. Or a standard. Or maybe it’s a clone of one - downtown brown or something? redders1974 (1521) - Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - JUN 3, 2016

Cask at the Express, deep brown with a big tight head, aromas of bread, nuts and a little baked apple. Toasty malt and earthy hops, more breadiness and a fairly powerful drying herbal bitterness.

Thoroughly well built bitter. Deep amber colour, biscuit maltyness on the nose. Nutty and fruity with a slightly sweet malt background this is a delicious, morish ale. fonefan (49554) - VestJylland, DENMARK - MAY 25, 2014
