On tap @ the brewpub. Pours pitch black with very thin creamy head that laces well. Aroma is chocolate and lightly sweet malt. Taste is medium roasted dark chocolate and earthy bitter hops. Amazing rich chocolate flavor but really lacking in the hop department, which most CDAs crank up. ABV is in balance and not overpowering. Just a bit more malt and this would be an amazing porter. Odd beer I guess. Still, hard to penalize them when it is so tasty.

Draft at SB. Pours an opaque black with a wispy grayish head that settles away quickly. Big roasty, ashy nose, showing heavily roasted coffee. Creamy thick body with moderate carb. Roasty, ashy mid palate with plenty of coffee. Long dry finish. Much more like a slightly hoppy big stout than a darkened IPA.

Draft at Fremont Brewing. Black beer with frothy, stark white head. Glass covering, sticky lacing. Enjoyable sweet, fruity hops. Flavor is similar fruit punch hops and a mild hop bitterness. No roast malt, thank god. There is a bit of dry ash from the malt that I would prefer not to have. Thicker body is nice.

Draft in Woodinville. dark malty black, small foam. Juicy aroma, hop and malt equally. Mild CDA, well balanced. But juicy, not a lot of bitter. Medium body. Alright.

Draft pour. Dark pour with a faint, dark fruit aroma. Very malty beer with a little plum and raisin. Malty finish with a slight chocolate finish. Interesting, unique beer for sure. Not too bad.

Dark brown in color, clear with a thin head. Super malt flavor and great hops aroma and flavor. This is a super CDA.

Nose of dark roasted grain caramel and a big burst of citrus and dank. Pours dark brown great long lasting tan head and lace. Flavors of dark roast caramel a hint of chocolate. Big tropical citrus and dank. Lingering chewy citrus hops. Good stuff.
