3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap @ the brewpub. Pours light orangish amber with thin head. Aroma is piney spicy hops and a hint of sweet malt. Taste is assertive piney hops with a hint of citrus. Slightly creamy well-balanced malt body. Finishes bitter. Strong but not DIPA level. Impressive job for a first beer. I will return and try more.
From a 22 oz bottle into a Pints for Prostates stem glass. Has a different label than shown and listed as 69 IBUs. Pours gold with head and lace. Aroma of grains, pale malt, slight dishwater water, burnt caramel. Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of pale malts, sweet amber malts, hay, bitter citrus zest, straw hops & odd tropical fruit rind. It's an interesting brew & flavorful yet strange fruit funkified, and sweet like the yeast didn't do enough ... an unusual India Pale Ale ... distinct but a bit cloying. Dark orange, almost amber clear, nice creamy frothy cream coloured head,
Aromas as advertised grapefruit pulp, orange pips and spruce tip hopping.
Taste the same but somewhat balanced by chewy malts.though the juicy citrus always shows through.
Very nice mouthfeel..well balanced.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy copper gold with small frothy white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is citrus and pine. Medium body, juicy hop, grapefruit, pine, light bitterness, very good. teamsale (305) - Washington, USA - JUL 12, 2016
22 oz bottle pours a clear dark gold with a thin white head and good lacing. Smells floral hops and catpiss. Tastes a well balanced sweet citrus hoppy malt. Really nice aftertaste, sweet with a mild to medium bitterness.

Anne liked this their flagship ipa not super hopped or west coast not super citrus. Subdued but good. mintzmeet (458) - Seattle, Washington, USA - APR 4, 2016
Almost tastes like a tincture that's been expanded. IPA flavor almost too much (not that it's been overhopped but just maybe tastes too thick)? I don't know, it's good. FlacoAlto (4220) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - FEB 6, 2016

A steady pour into my cup produces a fat, one-finger thick, light tan colored head. The beer is a copper / pale-amber color that shows a clear, lighter version of the same when held up to the light. The aroma has a nice hoppiness to it, with a focus on lychee, ruby-red grapefruit zest, spruce tips, green pine, and lots of sweet, ripe citrus zest and even a touch of guava aromatics.
Solidly bitter, and the beer is on the cold side, which plays up the bitter bite that lingers from start to finish. Ripe green pine needles meld with ruby-red grapefruit, juicy guava, ripe tangelo zest, some woody spruce tips, and soft, woody astringent notes. The malt character plays a definite supporting role here, but still contributes soft flavors of English biscuits, a touch of pale toasted nutty notes, and a bit of chewy, whole grain cracker character. The body of this beer has a light viscosity to it, this is not quite as refreshing as a paler, more "west" coast version of an IPA, but is also not on the heavy side for an IPA.
A more than serviceable IPA; enjoyable, hoppy, and fresh, it certainly hits the spot.
Bottle: Cloudy gold color with a wet hop aroma. Dank flavors abound in this brew and it gave me a headache the next day :( Blairgus (4615) - California, USA - JUL 21, 2015
