Made from mostly pale malt and some Munich and caramel malts. These add a little sweetness, which is balanced by more hops. The result is a rich color and fruity flavor.

Amber/orange color, clear body with average creamy off-white head. Lacing good. Not too powerful in terms of aroma - light hops. Noticeable fizzy carbonation, flavor long in duration with light/moderate bitterness and notes of citrus.

In the bottle. Pours medium amber with a slightly off-white head that never quits. Very strong malty and doughy aroma. Flavor has medium hops, but a strong yeasty and malty taste. Slight odd medicinal flavor as well. maybe a little bit like tea. Mild carbonation and a beautiful beer to the end.

Pours light orangish amber with a fully receding tan head. Aroma of toasted bready malts, estery notes of pears and nectarines. Taste is crispy cracker cereal maltiness. Toasted bread with a smokey sweetiness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and slightly sticky with spritzy carbonation. Good, but mostly forgettable.

UPDATED: JUN 29, 2006 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy dark amber color with a large yellow-tan head. The aroma is lightly fruity and yeasty. The flavor is lightly fruity with moderate malts and a yeasty undertone. There is a bitter finish. A rather plain amber ale.

bottle - Amber color, slightly cloudy, pours a moderate head that sticks around. The aroma is malty with a hint of citrus. Flavor is dominated by the malts with some okay balance from the hops. Itís sweet and smooth with a mildly bitter finish. Solid, but not great.

12 oz bottle thanks to Duane. Light amber pour with a smallish head. Faded to a ring pretty quickly. Aromas were minimal, but what I got were pretty sweet. Sweetness in the flavor too. Some hoppiness, but not a lot. Mostly caramel malts and bright fruit. Average but drinkable

Bottle. Pours with a white foamy head that laces well. Dark amber with a slight haze. The aroma has some heave coffee notes. Medium body with a flat finish, the extra hops are evident.

(12 oz bottle: Obtained 30-Jan-06 in trade with Sully, thanks Mike!) Batch 7206. The fruity and vaguely malty nose isnít especially aromatic, but thatís okay, this beer isnít especially flavorful or interesting either. Generic maltiness I normally attribute to a pale ale at a mediocre brewpub is moderately sweet, fruitiness is up-front, and grassy hops is mildly bitter for acceptable balance, but the flavor is just plain boring. I occasionally taste a bit of herb and spice, the distant flavor of coriander being triggered in my mind. Medium "plus" body is very nice, as is the moderate carbonation, but this beer sits lifelessly on the palate because the beer lacks any snap or zip. Dirty orange color is fully cloudy and the small, foamy, off-white head shows solid retention and patchy lacing. Even though Bellís makes a lot of great beers, this totally failed to capture my attention and is a below-average amber ale to me.
