Poured a dark honey color, or urine when severely dehydrated. 3-finger head rapidly dissipated. Sweet smell, a little wheaty, and stales as time goes on. Mostly caramelly malts, over sweet, only the faintest hint of any hops. Two sweet for my tastes. Easy drinking - not really offensive, just middle-of the road.

Nice off white head. Copper color with some slight cloudiness. A different style amber ale if one is thinking Killian. A good beer from start to finish. Try it

Poured a dark orange brown color with a nice amount of offwhite head. Aroma is sweet piney and floral. Flavor is very sweet, yeasty and slightly bitter. Overall, definitely a dissapointment. On a side note, i noticed a similar yeasty taste in their brown ale which i also didnt like.

Thanks to Duane for this one. It poured a nice copper color, with an average head. Flavor was a bit too sweet for me, not very balanced, sweet aftertaste. Not terrible by any means, but not great either, ok.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bright orange in colour with a slightly off white head. Surprisingly fruity aromas and flavors, mainly lemon, orange, and perhaps even a bit of peach. There are some nice caramel flavors, but little contribution from the hops. Fairly thick bodied, and mellow. Not really what I expected from this brewer, and not quite up to the regular high standards of this brewery, but a solid beer nonetheless.

An amber color and a dirty white head. Has a floral scent almost pinelike with a hint of citrus. A nice hopped flavor balanced with a malty sweetness.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Maple colored, gentle off-white head. Apricot and peaches are overrun by sweet caramely maltiness in the nose. Light floral hops, herbal and balanced. Fairly typical, even for an amber ale. The hoppiness remains fairly restrained, while the malt dances from québécoise rousse nuttiness to more competent toastiness. Light-medium bodied, malty texture, moderate carbonation. Cerealic, smooth, sweet and easy-going for a 6% beer.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Good semi-rich mouthfeel, fruity taste, fresh and well-balanced with spicy undertones. A good run at an amber ale (not one of my favorite types).

New penny in color. I’m sorry, forgive me, but I just can’t get excited about Amber ales with no hop aroma. Subtle malt aroma, with a light hint of caramel and a suggestion of doughy yeast. You’d think malt magician Larry Bell could come up with something a little better smelling than this. Mild, mediocre malt flavor, which is very crisp, but overall husky. Caramel and toasted malt flavors, with herbaceous, weedy hops. Lacking bitterness and a pronounced hop flavor and aroma. This seems like an amber ale from a crappy brewpub.
