UPDATED: JAN 31, 2006 Pours deep golden brown with short lasting white head. Aroma is piney, earthy hops, caramel malts and slightly yeasty. Flavor is initially of hops and nicely balances the sweet malt finish. Not very complex, but it’s crisp and refreshing. A nice summer beer. IndyF1 (19) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - SEP 3, 2005
Fairly clear golden brown color, big head that dissolves away with a few swigs. Pleasant Sweet Aroma - not strong. Starts out tasting good, hoppy nutty, leaves a slight bitter tastte in your mouth but goes away quick. It tastes like its fairly strong alcohol wise. tiggmtl (4544) - East York, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 2, 2005
Mild, soapy, floral, sweet, grassy, herbal hop nose. Clear copper coloured body is topped by low white head that recedes to ring with some lace. Floral and earthy hop character to the sweet, malty flavour with some honey-like notes and moderate finishing bitterness. Medium body with fine-bubbled, gently prickly effervescence. Bottle sampled with muzzlehatch, Olivier_MTL and Rastacouere.

Good balance of malt and hops but flavor isn’t quite where I’d like it to be. Cloudy amber in color with a bunch of sediment on the bottom of the glass - unfiltered, I presume. Nice, slightly sweet aroma. stoutchap (424) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 30, 2005
Poured a dark honey color, or urine when severely dehydrated. 3-finger head rapidly dissipated. Sweet smell, a little wheaty, and stales as time goes on. Mostly caramelly malts, over sweet, only the faintest hint of any hops. Two sweet for my tastes. Easy drinking - not really offensive, just middle-of the road.

Nice off white head. Copper color with some slight cloudiness. A different style amber ale if one is thinking Killian. A good beer from start to finish. Try it roder60 (1289) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 20, 2005
Poured a dark orange brown color with a nice amount of offwhite head. Aroma is sweet piney and floral. Flavor is very sweet, yeasty and slightly bitter. Overall, definitely a dissapointment. On a side note, i noticed a similar yeasty taste in their brown ale which i also didnt like. Saarlander (1686) - Saarlouis, GERMANY - AUG 19, 2005
Thanks to Duane for this one. It poured a nice copper color, with an average head. Flavor was a bit too sweet for me, not very balanced, sweet aftertaste. Not terrible by any means, but not great either, ok. piscator34 (2622) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - AUG 17, 2005
Bright orange in colour with a slightly off white head. Surprisingly fruity aromas and flavors, mainly lemon, orange, and perhaps even a bit of peach. There are some nice caramel flavors, but little contribution from the hops. Fairly thick bodied, and mellow. Not really what I expected from this brewer, and not quite up to the regular high standards of this brewery, but a solid beer nonetheless. OlivierMTL (709) - Quebec, CANADA - AUG 14, 2005
