Made from mostly pale malt and some Munich and caramel malts. These add a little sweetness, which is balanced by more hops. The result is a rich color and fruity flavor.

Amber color with a dark beige smaller head. Citrus and caramel seem to highlight the aromas. Crisp and sharp feel. Not smooth like I would prefer this style. Light milk caramel with an acidic hops backdrop. Seems to have a light sour fruit contingency as well. Different from your average amber, unfortunately different does not always mean better.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber color. Mostly taste of sweet malt, not much hop here. Finishes pretty smooth though.

Gitchee Gumee Brewfest 2005. I came into this beer with negativity, since I’d heard friends rag on this flagship, but I was pleasently surprised. The aroma was a mellow caramel. The flavors had a perfect balance of malt and hops. This is something I can appreciate, as I’m not a hop head, and while I enjoy a good dose of malt, it can get old. I think this is a beer I could enjoy for some time. It finishes smooth and crisp and leaves a nice lingering flavor on the tounge. Nice!

Dunae, again thanks. Poured red, with an orangeish head. Foamy and good lacing. Rich malty beer yeast aroma. Hops is the first taste, 2nd and 3rd. Smooth with crsip clean taste. Light (desired) mouth feel. Hops again to finish. Good.

Fantastic flavour dancing all over. At first it isn’t surprising but it definitely keeps you coming back. Great amber colour with some suspended yeast. Head was quickly gone, but that didn’t seem to matter. A nice subtle sweet taste to go with some nice hops. This one can go down easily. Thanks to bswatzky for this one.

Suprised by this one, pours a yellow/dark orange with a decent head. Starts off roasted malts, fruits, then proceeds to smooth out with little carb/alch presence. A well brewed beer.

Some of the bottles in my 6-pack were good and some not so fresh. Nice color with good lacing. Creamy flavor with lots of hopping. Pretty nice.
