Pours a hazy amber color with a medium off white head that left some nice lacing around the glass. The aroma is caramel, lots of breadiness, sweet malts. The flavor is also very similar to the aroma. There is not much for a hop presence. There is some honey notes kinda hidden in there as well. The drinkability is high and the mouthfeel is more on the lighter side. Ver nice hoppy-malty aroma. I like this a lot. Good caramel and solid hop presence throughout. Very smooth sweet and tasty. jstraw (1967) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 31, 2007
UPDATED: OCT 2, 2012 Draft at Jerry’s. Hazy caramel-gold with good, creamy off-white head / Light nose of sour malt and brown sugar / Light to medium body, creamy with some chewiness, nice balance, hint of sugar but mostly dry with lightly bitter finish / Mild flavors of sour malt, toast, brown sugar, cinnamon, and citrus / Outstanding, in a dry, hoppy style., gonzo46and2 (108) - Tampa, Florida, USA - JUN 3, 2008
Fantastic Amber ale. Poured a huge head in my scooner and lasted till the last drop. Aroma of flowery hops pineapple and as it warms brown sugar. More on the sweet side and could use a bit more bittering hops. When it warms the flavor takes on a more dark malt taste. Overall just awesome for the style.

One of the best Amber Ales I’ve ever tasted. This one doesn’t fight for your taste buds with any unruly bitterness as it’s smoother and easy to drink. A bit darker color than other Amber products. Goes down smooth, so smooth that two or three bottles have been finished. Satisfying aftertaste w/o the bitter finish. Need to distribute this in TN!!! dasbieristgut (4) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - NOV 22, 2011 does not count
One of my favorite beers. Lots of flavor with a good after taste and smells great. boisebeer (57) - boise, Idaho, USA - JAN 1, 2012
Ok my second bells ever. I got it in a little package and was like a kid in a candy store.
This beer looked amazing when I poured it into a clear pint. It glowed red Cooper with a thick finger high head that ran away quickly to a white lace
The smell was good. Not to strong or over powering.
Taste was a little sweet with a follow up of light bitters. I think there is a very mild hint of raw honey in this beer. It left me wondering how it’s taste would change as it was paired with spicy foods. My guess is amazing.
Feel was alright. It has some carbonization rolling in and sits on the tip of your tonge.
Over all I am impressed. This beer explained to me the rave about bells. Honestly I had to question it before this beer. Well done.
