4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 ounce bottle shared with my room mate. I have had this one before but am just getting around to rating it now. Pours a deep brown color with a half finger width brown head that disappears quickly. When you swirl this one around the glass, it leaves a sticky residue on the sides. The aroma consists of tart fruit and some caramel malt... very interesting but strange for an imperial stout. The taste is absolutely fantastic though... roasted malt, some very light chocolate, and an awesome aftertaste consisting of tart cherries and flowers. It has a medium bodied mouth feel and finishes very smooth. It masks the alcohol very well. This is definitely a strange brew but I love it when a brewer tries something different... especially with a popular style like an imperial stout. Definitely a home run in my books... way to go, Bells!

Kenny's Deep Cellar Bottle consumed at L42. It pours opaque brown - black with a bubbly tan head. The aroma is rich, oily, sweet, dried fruits, vanilla, chewy maltage, heavy sweet molasses vibes and cocoa. The taste is slick, oily, fruity vibes, boosty warming alcohol, toasted coconut, leather, spice, rocky road, molasses and earthy roast. Finish is heavy and has some spice on it. Full body and fine carbonation. Oily mouth - feel. Pretty intense still. Not bad. mR_fr0g (14024) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 16, 2017

Pours dark orange brown colour with a huge most good lasting tan head. Aroma of sweet dark malt, red fruits, cinnamon and wood. Taste of dark red fruits and malt, toffee, some liquorice, wood, some alcohol, quite interesting!
Many thanks to nimbleprop, my "Secret" Santa 2016 for this bottle. Intense dry roasty and slightly alcoholic nose. Deep intense beginning with roasted sweetish liquorice, sticky malt and not too sweetish, more dry, in the aftertaste. Round fruity - plums, dark cherries, great deep malt. Fascinating deep and smooth. fluffy (2461) - St Petersburg, Florida, USA - OCT 3, 2016
