10 oz. draft, $6.50 at Brixie’s. Solid black color, with a bit of foam around the perimeter to cling to the sides. I’m getting a fruity smell here, mostly tart cherries, and slight chocolate and coffee notes. Maybe it’s because of being a fresh draft pour, but the taste to me in incredibly fruity. Not tart like the aroma proposed, but close to a cherry cordial. Just a tad syrupy, but still a fine texture. Alcohol is warming, but not heavy. Some carbonation remains even at the end of a half-hour sipping this glass. Very surprising and smooth for such a big stout. I missed the licorice and molasses, but that may show up if I left my bottles at home cellar for a while.

Kenny's Deep Cellar Bottle consumed at L42. It pours opaque brown - black with a bubbly tan head. The aroma is rich, oily, sweet, dried fruits, vanilla, chewy maltage, heavy sweet molasses vibes and cocoa. The taste is slick, oily, fruity vibes, boosty warming alcohol, toasted coconut, leather, spice, rocky road, molasses and earthy roast. Finish is heavy and has some spice on it. Full body and fine carbonation. Oily mouth - feel. Pretty intense still. Not bad.

November 2017 - Bottle share at One Canada Square. Big thanks to Kenny! As 'Bell's Batch 9000 Ale', no ABV or date stated. Black, almost opaque, slight reddy hue, foamy brown head leaves dotted lacing. Aroma is cocoa, dark chocolate, coconut, a bit oxidised. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is cocoa, booze, treacle, sugary and boozy, spicy booze finish. Drinkable enough - finished this off on the way home. (7-4-6-3-15=3.5)

At least 5 years old... pours inky black with very little head teh color of espresso crema... rich aromas of fruitcake dipped in porto; oily rich palate with a long chalky, bitter finish.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing!
Pours dark orange brown colour with a huge most good lasting tan head. Aroma of sweet dark malt, red fruits, cinnamon and wood. Taste of dark red fruits and malt, toffee, some liquorice, wood, some alcohol, quite interesting!

Erzengel (9497) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - JAN 12, 2017
Many thanks to nimbleprop, my "Secret" Santa 2016 for this bottle. Intense dry roasty and slightly alcoholic nose. Deep intense beginning with roasted sweetish liquorice, sticky malt and not too sweetish, more dry, in the aftertaste. Round fruity - plums, dark cherries, great deep malt. Fascinating deep and smooth.

bnokk (545) - Lee, Massachusetts, USA - JUL 20, 2016
Drinken in 2916. APPEARANCE- super black, lighter head than it’s inspiration (batch 7000). It looks very thin. NOSE- sweet boosiness!! Oh, sweet boozy beer. FLAVOR- also sweeter than expected, and the booze is hidden well. Excellent balance of the sweetness and the boosy and roasty backbone stout. NOTES- this one may be at its peak.
