Draft. Light honey and chocolate malt aroma. Dark chestnut with small head. Sweet chocolate caramel and barley malt flavor. Strong herbal hops finish. Very tasty - wish they’d bottle this one. coyotehunter (698) - , Michigan, USA - MAR 20, 2013
Like smelling a handful of cocoa nibs. Very smooth and chocolatey. It’s like drinking chocolate ice cream. Seems a bit more stout than imperial but if they bottle this I guarantee I’ll have more than one of these in the house. Very well done. ebone1988 (1917) - Dearborn, Michigan, USA - NOV 3, 2013
Aroma is sweet hops, honeydew with some roasted malt. Appearance is black with a lightish brown head. Taste is sweet and hoppy, finishing like a stout. Mouthfeel is thick, soft carbonation. Overall, pretty good. Marheb (5749) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 14, 2015
Intense chocolat noir, agrumes résineuse et une touche de tabac dans un corps riche mais accessible. La présence chocolatée est majeure. TThumper89 (29) - Otsego, Michigan, USA - MAR 10, 2015
On tap in a tulip glass at Four Roses -Pitch black pour with a 1 finger creamy head that fades slowly to a nice film and leaves perfect lacing. Great appearance. Aromas are currants, maple, dark chocolate, light roast, and light licorice. Tastes more roasty than I expected from the aroma. Lots of chocolate and roast, some charred wood, dark fruit, and coffee. A little nutty too. Medium to thick body. Smooth. Long aftertaste of char and licorice. Really like this even though it has more licorice than I usually care for. Very smooth, drinkable stout!

Bottle at Savor. Kudos to Bells for bringing unique offerings to Savor. They never disappoint. This poured pitch black with roast, chocolate, and coffee aromas. Taste was more of the same, but sightly astringent and finished dry. Very enjoyable. jcos (1851) - Maryland, USA - MAY 13, 2014

Draft pour at the source. Pours a darker brown to black with a beige head of foam. The aroma has sweet maple, toasty coffee, some toffee notes. The taste is sweet and a little toasty. Bigger body and moderate carbonation. stevec (27) - Galena, Illinois, USA - NOV 17, 2015
Provided courtesy of TR. Growler from the brew pub. Pours thinner than I anticipated, but still very dark. Aroma and flavor were great, palate was decently long. Great beer, something different from the expedition stout and quite enjoyable.
