Bottle to pint (from notes). This was a go-to at Western circa 2002-2003. Looks good; golden orange with foamy head. Smells and tastes of mild hops, biscuit, and lager yeast with a medium-light to medium-bodied mouthfeel. A decent, easy-drinking example of the style. hotstuff (5158) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - MAR 29, 2003
I found nothing special about or with this brew at all.I was totally unimpressed all the way around. thedm (6185) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - MAR 29, 2003
UPDATED: JUN 4, 2003 This brew has a slight malty aroma that arose from a very small head of fine bubbles and a light yellow orange colored body. It has a carbonated taste of banana and typical low grade beer flavor. My first sips gave me gas within minutes. Rockinout (966) - Kent, Ohio, USA - FEB 23, 2003
Medium golden color, some head on the edge. Definite peppery hop bite from the middle till the finish. Lively. Drew (2411) - Kent, Ohio, USA - FEB 23, 2003
Medium bodied malts with minimum sweetness. Nice fresh bright hops with a bit of citrus. Poured golden yellow, good head and lacing.

This may very well be a very old bottle of this - bargian bin in the wine shop, plenty of dust. Time defintely didn't hurt the hop action, which is sharp and substantial, long on lime. The rest of it though is like sticky, slightly moldy, not all the way cooked bread dough - weird counterpoint that doesn't work for me. I'll try to hunt up another of these for a rerate for sure, as I actually hadn't heard of this one before and I've been a Bell's admirer for some time. UPDATED: DEC 11, 2006 Light golden color. Clean tasting Pilsner. I really like it. Great session beer. jskendzel (602) - Washington DC, USA - NOV 29, 2002
Light yellow in color, good head retention. Full-bodied, can taste the alcohol. Citrusy, bitter, slight hay flavor. Nothing uniquely different from Bells. AustinMilbarge (681) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 29, 2002
Light golden hazy with some floating particulate. Quickly diminishing head. Citrus hoppy bitter finish. The alcohol taste is obviously present but does not predominate. DrunkCaleb (69) - Michigan, USA - NOV 21, 2002
As a person familiar with American swill, the aroma and flavor of this beer was pure heaven. It is everything I’m looking for in a Pilsner.
