COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A smooth, toasty brown ale, Best Brown Ale is a mainstay in our fall & winter lineup. With hints of caramel and cocoa, the malt body has the depth to stand up to cool weather, but does not come across as heavy. This balancing act is aided by the generous use of American hops.

Wonderful beer, truly smooth and great flavor. It’s almost like a light stout or porter beer. It has all of the notes of those types of beer, chocolate and coffee notes with a little roast but without the full bodied punch of a porter or a stout. A nice spicy, caramel finish rounds off this flavorful but subdued beer. Fantastic for this time of year, fall quickly becoming winter.

I love this beer. I had this paired with a rich chicken curry and rice and the depth of flavor in this was out of bounds. Bells makes some of the better beers I've tasted and this one was up there with the some of the best

Pours a reddish brown color with a proud-looking and long-lasting tan head. Aroma of caramel, hint of coffee, some light fruity esters, and a bit of toasty malt sweetness. Flavors were rich and balanced between toasty malts and earthy/bitter hops. Lots of toasted malt, caramel, coffee, earthy pine, and a bit of sweetness. Astringent finish due to the heavy use of hops. Light to medium bodied, very drinkable, a great American brown ale!
