4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Ruddy brown, with lots of floaties and sediment for the style. Nose is sweet with maple sugar, nutty, and vaguely yeasty. Earthy, with an enjoyable bitterness, and a rather dry finish. A well executed brown.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a very cloudy orange/brown, with an impressive thick and creamy medium head, good lacing. Aroma is dark rye bread, some nutty fruitiness, hint of alcohol, and some somewhat damp old woody notes. Sweet caramel malt flavors with toffee overtones. As it warms up you can tast a nice blast of honey coated spicy hops. Very Nice. Nice creamy semi full mouthfeel. QualityBrown. "They get brown you know."

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
growler from whole foods.. pours a mahogany amber with a frothy head..smells of grassy, subdued hints of earthy flavors..initial hit to the palate is that of barnyard flavors.. somewhat yeasty with the belgium malts taking center stage.. not a huge brown ale fan and its because I like a little more cleavage on a first date.. that being said, its not bad but its like a poor mans scotch ale... one of the better browns but not my cup of tea

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 ounce bottle. Poured a deep mahogany color with a beautiful 1.5 finger width white head. The head disappeared quickly though. The aroma was very bland with subtle malty hints and nuts. The taste was along the same lines with a bit more nut coming out than the smell would suggest. It had a very light mouthfeel and was pretty refreshing. Overall a good brew by Bells but far from their best.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Dark brownish amber pour, little to no head. Aroma is of nicely sugar roasted malt. Flavor is much of the same sugar roasted malt with a nice hint of caramel... decently dry finish.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This hazy brwon beer with red highlights pours with a thick tan head that slowly fades. A nice lacing is left on the glass as you drink. The aroma is of caramel, molasses, and malt and is very inviting and smooth. The first taste is heavy on the dark molasses and a husky malt flavor. Smoky brown sugar notes and a nice bitterness follow. Not as much sweetness as the aroma would suggest, this is more of a dry brown ale. The mouthfeel is a bit harsh from carbonation, and the beer has a moderate body. It improves a bit as the beer warms.
