On tap from the Hungry Monk. Very nice medium brown with a very small off whitw head that fades quickly, no lacing. Caramel flavors and minimal hops but surprisingly bitter aftertaste. Not bad, very light drinking experience. Peefect for lunch or as a starter beer. Would definitely drink it again.
Pours dark amber with off white head. Aroma is nutty sweet caramel with hints of dark fruit. Flavor is rounded and slightly fruity with smoky toffee and nuts.

12 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, bottled on 9/7/2016. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep reddish copper/light brown color with a 1-2 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, and toffee; with lighter notes of chocolate, cocoa, nuttiness, herbal, grass, pepper, citrus, dark fruit, and roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/bready/light roasted malts and light earthy/citrusy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, and toffee; with lighter notes of chocolate, cocoa, nuttiness, herbal, grass, pepper, citrus, dark fruit, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, toffee, cocoa, herbal, grass, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready/light roasted malts and light earthy/citrusy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light dryness from bitterness, lightly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and lightly silky/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.8%. Overall this is a great American brown ale! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready/light roasted malts and light earthy/citrusy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. This feels less hoppy/drying, and creamier/fuller in the mouthfeel than I remember in the past. A very enjoyable offering. Aggiebob (1131) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - NOV 25, 2016
Bottle. Cola brown with a nice frothy head. The aroma is roasted malt and nuts. It also has a caramel taste to it. Rather light bodied for a brown ale. Tasty. HuskerTan (2202) - Ravenna, Nebraska, USA - NOV 17, 2016
A- Caramel, cocoa, dough, malty, subtle tobacco.
A- Dark chestnut color, clear liquid, tan head.
T- Cocoa, dry, roasty, subtle bitterness, subtle molasses.
P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, roasty finish.
O- Unlike most brown ales I try, this wasn’t watery and bland. A nice balance of cocoa and caramel and fairly thick bodied. Better than most browns for sure. Johnstledger8 (1196) - Dublin, IRELAND - NOV 2, 2016
