Bottle into nonic pint. Pours a nice caramel brown, creamy head with slight lacing. Roasty aroma with hints of nuts, chocolate, and coffe. Taste is the same. Not bad. Expected more of a hop bite from the description. novice101 (323) - - OCT 4, 2013

Wasn’t expecting too much on this one. It was what I thought. An average brown ale. GTPpilot (20) - the valley, Connecticut, USA - DEC 1, 2013
An good example of a nice Brown ale. Not necessarily my thing but since its Bells, I had to try it. I was not disappointed.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours brown with a off white head. Taste Carmel, chocolate, sweet. I thought this was so so. I would skip this down the road.

Poured from a bottle. Brownish red with a tan head. Aroma is brown sugar, caramel and sugar plums. Very sweet with some mellow hoppiness in the finish. Body is a little on the thin side with soft carbonation. Smooth drinking brown ale. bwa5879 (959) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - OCT 14, 2014
Deep amber to brown pour with half inch beige head. Roasty, bready malt aroma, brown sugar, campfire and dough, some chocolate. Light carbonation, frothy mouthfeel, nice effervescent finish, very refreshing. Malty taste, sweeter carmel and dough, overall graininess blends everything together but subtle, roasty campfire taste toward the finish, a bit rooty.
