Bottled. I tend to fing Browns kinda of boring. This one had a little more flavor going for it than you usual brown. Nothing fancy. Good drinkable beer. kwoeltje (2233) - Manchester, Missouri, USA - NOV 21, 2003
Dark brown with small head. Mild brown ale, neither sweet nor bitter. Mostly malt flavors. JohnnyOS (646) - Golden, Wisconsin, USA - APR 9, 2006
Pours reddish brown with light tan head. Aroma of caramel, roasted malts and nuts. Flavor is mild with roasted malts and a light-burnt caramel finish. Very drinkable, but I wouldn’t say the experience was jaw-dropping. DeLongHooff (17) - Pheonixville, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 15, 2006
Pours deep copper brown with a small tan head. Mild roasty aroma. A very smooth sweet and slightly roasted nuttiness. Thin and smooth on the palate. Good as this style goes. black95tt (82) - Doylestown, Ohio, USA - OCT 12, 2006
Pours bright mahogany. Aroma is nutty and bready. Taste is much the same with some caramel sweetness. Very little to no hops present. Decent beer. Not my favorite style though.

(on draft at Michael’s Bistro) Brown body with red tones; small head. Nutty aroma; hazelnuts, malt. Flavor is sweet upfront giving way to the nutty/earthiness and just a little bitterness on the back end. Surprisingly strong alcoholic aftertaste. Light to medium bodied. Pours red-brown, nice thick frothy head. Sweet, nutty, light roasts. To me this had a bit of a belgian taste to it, a bit overly sweet for me. Not bad. madscotsman (147) - Fairview Heights, Illinois, USA - MAY 4, 2007
Poured brown in color with a khaki head. Had a malty aroma. Had a nutty/sweet palate and flavor. nimbleprop (8382) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - MAY 25, 2007
Color was nothing extraordinary... translucent brown with a creamy white head. Nose has more flowers and perfume than I would have guessed with hints of malt. Flavor is lacking... grainy and yeasty with not a whole lot else. Finish is flat and a little musty. Definitely a Euro brown and not an American brown. tyler_mn (1475) - SLP, Minnesota, USA - OCT 22, 2007
Bottle. Batch 8165. Aroma is mildly nutty with traces of toasted malt. Pretty plain. Pours a rich brown with a small, creamy and rocky white head. Flavor has hints of toasted, biscuity malt and some drying hops. Not a whole lot going on here. Medium bodied. Not bad, but nothing special.
