Tap @ Bells: Black-ish center, mahogany stained edges with a very fine layer of khaki foam that quickly fuses down to a small collar. Aroma is quite light at first. Even after some warming, it’s never fully potent. A touch of spicy rye notes, toasted & roasty malts.. Maybe a small hint of anise? Very mild. Taste is thankfully more robust. Dark, slightly roasted malts, a hint of dry cocoa powder, mild char, a very light cast of dark fig, & a little bit of spicy rye that’s left hanging around in the aftertaste. Pour out of 2l growler picked up at the brewery, dark black pour with tan head lacing well, aroma brought notes of rye, dark fruit, roast, coffee, hints of earth, grain, some orange as well, hints of floral notes. Taste is a mix of dark cocoa, roast, coffee, hints of nice earth, orange into some grass, finishing very smooth, slightly sweet. On draft at All Stouts Day. The pour is black, with a head that looks like it could be nitro, though it's not. The aroma heavy in rye, and malt, but not much else. The taste is similar. A lot of subtleness to the rye, and there isn't a whole lot going in the nature of a stout. It's not the worst stout I've ever had, but there is a lot to be desired with the potential with rye

Very black in color. You can definately taste the rye No bitter aftertaste.
No head. Mildly thick. I found it very pleasant tasting for such a dark brew.
