Sampled at What The Funk. Pours black with medium tan head that lasts. The aroma is roast, chocolate, booze, wood. Thin mouth, sweet malt, light roast, brett, light oak, very good. coyotehunter (698) - , Michigan, USA - SEP 16, 2014
On tap back in January, but just now adding from my notes.
Dark reddish pour, aroma kinda funky and sour but the taste doesn’t match. Not sour, but maybe a little tart? Mild woody earthiness but not what I had hoped for. Ratman197 (14826) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - AUG 28, 2014
750 ml sample bottle poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of barnyard funk, roasted malt, fruitiness, cocoa and light basalmic vinegar. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry lightly tart finish. Flavors of roasted malt, cocoa, barnyard funk, leather and light oak with a crisp dry lightly tart lingering funky cocoa finish. Draft, Roll out the Barrel Party at the Eccentric Cafe. Deep brown-black body, medium dense tan/cream head. Tart, roasty nose with lots of grape. Light, pillowy, surprisingly non-sour but modestly funky body. Creamy and rather delicate. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - DEC 24, 2013

Aroma is sour, cranberry, concord grape. Appearance is dark brown, light brown head. Taste is sour, cranberry, grape juice. Mouthfeel is decent, thick for a sour mm. Overall this should be classified a sour instead of a stout. koleminer20 (3591) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - NOV 3, 2013
On draft at All Stouts Day. The pour is pretty dark, with some hints of red in the color. The head is thin and filmy , leaving a spotty lace. The aroma is very sour. Light floral and fruit notes come through, but there isn't anything that blows me away. The taste is surprisingly sour. The fruity notes blast
Through and the floral takes a back seat. This is good as a sour/wild ale, but not so much when it would be classified as a stout.

On tap at bells... Pours cola black, reddish edges and topped with a thin creamy off-white head... Brett grapey funk, sour dark malts and cocoa in the aroma... Flavors are earth, light funk and mild tartness. Cocoa middle and earthy finish. Medium bodied with mild carbonation. Not bad and more bretty than stouty. On tap at Bell’s Eccentric Cafe. Black with light tan head. Little lacing. Aroma is bourbon with roasted malts. Flavor is acidic and tart followed by the roasted malts. OK but not rich as I hoped. fattybladdy (628) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - OCT 13, 2013
Draft @ Bells. Pours an opaque dark brown, minimal head. Taste is lightly sour, roasted malt with a mild bourbon accent.
