Sample at Bell’s on 5/18/14. Clear copper in color with a medium beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel and red wine. Malty and vinous flavor with a minty cherry finish. Interesting. koleminer20 (4176) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - MAY 19, 2014
On tap at the Eccentric Café. The pour is a clearish ruby/amber with a thin ring of white head and some decent lace. The aroma is quite fruity with a decent malt character, but beyond that, it's just bland. The flavor is strange. There is a malty sweetness, backed up with a fresh fruit character and then a strange hoppiness. The hops add a nice complexity to it. The mouth feel is thin, light, but has a decent carbonation. The aftertaste is hoppy and lingeringly strange

The Bull in a China Shop pours a very cloudy dark bronze red with a beige head that lasts a long while. The aroma is cereal, grape and bread. The flavor is a nicely balanced fresh bread, grape and pine. Overall this is a very nice brew. beerbaaron (1997) - Arizona, USA - MAY 2, 2014
Sort of a dirty amber look. This beer was certainly different..odd (or eccentric perhaps??) Sweet. Candy-like. Caramel. Some overripe citrus. Lots of alcohol. Sticky. I have a high booze tolerance, but this is just Very Boozy. It was a very unique beer however. tomthompson89 (1983) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 1, 2014
Dates on the nose. Nice hazy copper colour. Flavour is nice brown sugar notes. Smooth maltyness . Mouthfeel is nice. Not a crazy B Wine but well done!

4oz draft at Churchkey for meet the brewer event. Poured a hazy orange color with a white head. Aroma was light sweet malts, caramel notes, some light booze, but not overpowering. Plenty of sweet malts, caramel, pine, pretty enjoyable. GenDV138 (7899) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - APR 24, 2014
4 ounce draft at ChurchKey poured into a tasting snifter. Pours hazy caramel brown with off-white head and nice lacing. Aromas of sweet malt, caramel, floral notes, light booze. Tasting notes of caramel, citrus, pine, light booze. Medium body with a dry finish. Medium-light carbonation, light syrupy mouthfeel. Mittenator (1612) - Michigan, USA - MAR 29, 2014
Draft at crunchy's. Amber with a small head. Lighter and fruitier than expected. Weird booze in the end. rxeight (3332) - Illinois, USA - MAR 22, 2014
Snifter On tap. Very floral, kinda thin. Barleywine malty. Not too impressed. jdb288 (584) - Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA - NOV 8, 2013
On tap at Bell’s recently. I’m not sure why the low overal rating. I found this to be quite enjoyable. Smooth and boozy with a low ABV for a barleywine. Not the greatest but it was well crafted in my opinion.
